Possible Structure Fire, The Chop Shop

18:36: Stations 1, 3, 38, and 99 dispatched to 108 N. Main Street, The Chop Shop, for caller reporting smoke and flames from roof vent.

Structure fire response activated for caller report of smoke and flame visible at The Chop Shop on North Main Street in Butler City.

18:37: Engine 38 responding. Station 3-2 acknowledging with 1 on station.

18:38: Engine 1 on scene with light smoke showing, investigating. Chief 1 on scene with Command requesting PD to shut down this section of Main Street.

Butler City units are first on scene with light smoke showing from the exterior.

18:42: Units are reporting smoke in the interior. Command is requesting a roof report from Tower 1.

Smoke is reported in the interior of the business.

18:43: Engine 38 on scene. Roof crew is reporting heavy smoke from the kitchen roof vents.

Smoke is reported from the roof team.

18:44: Chief 3 on scene. Ladder 3 en route.

18:47: Ladder 3 approaching, instructed to stage behind Rescue 3 at Main and Jefferson. Rescue 3 reporting on scene at the hydrant now.

18:48: Command stating fire is knocked down, they’ll be on scene for awhile for smoke ventilation.

The fire is reportedly knocked down at this time and units are working on smoke ventilation.

19:29: Chief 3 reporting all Station 3 units are clear.

19:40: Command terminated, all City units back in service.
