15:52: Chief 16-2 en route to the station.
15:55: Engine 42 stating they are on 228 near Mars High School, asking Chief 16 if they should proceed to the scene. Chief 16 states affirmative.
16:01: Chief 16 on location reporting a main, above-ground line struck asking for People’s Gas to be notified.
16:02: Chief 16 instructing Engine 42 to assist with a hand line and also evacuation of some of the surrounding residences, there is “gas spewing.”
16:04: Rescue 16 en route.
16:06: Control states the gas company has been notified; no ETA was provided.
16:08: Rescue 16 on location.
16:36: Units are advising Chief 16-2 Peoples Gas is on scene at the well site.
16:42: Engine 42 back in service.
17:18: Command reporting the scene has been turned over to People’s Gas and all units are returning in service.
