House Fire Overnight: North Chestnut Street

04:17: Stations 1, 3, 38 and 99 dispatched for a house on fire with possible entrapment at 125 N. Chestnut Street in Butler City.

04:18: 99-6 is responding.

04:19: Engine 1-2 and Tower-1 are responding. Control advises that the caller is now outside, but there’s 2 other apartments and it is unknown if they’re occupied. There’s possibly a front porch fire at this time. Engine-38 is also responding.

04:20: Control is advising all units that Police are on scene reporting a working fire. EN-38 is requesting their off-duty shifts be recalled to their Station; their tones are being alerted now.

04:21: Second alert for Ladder-3 and Chief-1 due to no acknowledgment. The second alarm is requested which brings in Station 3 for full-assist and recalls off-duty Station 1 personnel.

04:22: Second alarm tones are going out. 99-6 is on location; C-1 is responding.

04:23: EN-38 is on the approach; they’re to position near TR-1 and send their crew to the front door. Command states they are gaining entry now. Control is advising there’s been no response out of Station 3 yet. EN-38 is arriving.

04:24: Station 3 has the call. Command is reporting the 360° inspection is complete; the fire looks to be contained to the apartment of origin. They are checking for other occupants now.

04:26: Command reports the fire is knocked down.

04:29: Squad-3 and Ladder-3 are responding.

04:31: LR-3 is being instructed to stage at the intersection of New Castle as the fire is knocked at this time and they’re in the process of ventilating.

04:33: LR-3 is on scene.

04:36: SQ-3 back in service, released by Command.

04:40: C-1 is on location.

04:53: EN-38 is back in service, returning to Station.

04:54: Station 3 is clear.

05:02: 99-6 is in service, released by Command. Incident terminated; Station 1 is clear.
