Abandoned Structure Fire: William Flynn Highway

16:17: Station 14 is requesting Control alerted their tones for a structure fire, William Flynn Highway at Clyde Drive.

16:19: Stations 14, 35, 13, 3, and 99 (toned out, not mentioned by voice) dispatched for a structure fire in the area of North Main Street Extension at Clyde Drive (Lane), Center Township. Multiple calls reporting a structure fire at that location. No other details at dispatch. Engine-14-2 is responding.

16:20: Chief-33 is offering a crew of 6 and Chief-14 is requesting they start down with their Tanker first. 99-8 is responding, and Stations 3-2 and 13 acknowledge the call. EN-14-2 is on scene with a 2-story, vacant commercial structure fully-involved. Captain-14-2 has Command.

16:21: Station 3 is instructed to roll their Ladder first. Cap-14 is instructing all units/personnel to NOT make entry into the building. Tower-33 and Tanker-33 are en route.

16:23: C-14 is on location.

16:25: Engine-13 is responding.

16:26: Ladder-3 is en route.

16:27: TR-33 is being instructed to set up for aerial operations upon arrival. Tanker-13 is responding.

16:28: Command is requesting a 4th Alarm Tanker assignment as well as Engine-25.

16:29: A crew on Station 14 will be bringing Engine 14 soon; Command needs them to lay (transmission cut off — half-way up William Flynn Hwy?) from the intersection of Mahood Road to feed EN-14-2. (Discussion of a supply line and relay pump.) Command is also asking if there is enough personnel to shut down the intersection of Route 8 and Mahood Road. (Someone can possibly man the Utility truck — the response was garbled.)

16:31: The 4th alarm tanker assignment is being alerted. Command is also asking Control to request additional traffic control assistance from PSP.

23:15: C-13-2 is requesting an attic ladder to the B-side of the structure.

23:17: Crews are coming down from the 2nd Division now; they’re being advised the smoke from the eaves is looking better, now.
