18:46: Stations 99 and 1 dispatched for a female unresponsive in a dark-colored sedan at or near the intersection of North Washington Street and West New Castle Street in Butler City. Per Control, City PD are also responding.
18:47: 99-2 is assigned. Engine 1 is reporting on scene. 99-2 is responding.
18:48: Per EN-1-2, the patient has fled the scene with City PD following.
18:50: EN-1-2 and 99-2 are back in service.
18:52: Stations 3, 1 and 99 dispatched to the intersection of Pittsburgh Road and Litman Road for a 3-vehicle MVA with unknown injuries.
18:53: 99-2 is assigned. Units are now advised this is the vehicle that fled the scene from the City. Rescue 1, Engine 1-2, 99-2, and Chief 3-3 are en route.
18:56: C-3-3 is on scene initially reporting 1 vehicle smoking in the intersection and then updating there are 2 vehicles on the roadway.
18:57: 99-2 is approaching; Control is advising they will have two patients, 1 female “with injuries” and 1 male unresponsive. 99-2 is asking for the closest aircraft to be placed on standby. EN-1(-2) is advised by Command they are getting patient access and there will be 1 that is probably going to be a traumatic arrest. Captain 3-2 is asking Command which apparatus to bring next and is advised the Engine.
18:58: Chief 3-2 is on scene. Per Control, LF-4 is standing by with a 9 minute ETA. Command is stating they probably will not be needed, but a second ambulance is requested.
18:59: Station 99 is being toned out, and their dispatcher states 99-4 will be responding momentarily.
19:00: Engine 3 is responding.
19:01: 99-4 is en route.
19:02: Rescue 3 is responding. They are advised the intersection is shut down and they are to position to block traffic. There is a black sedan in the center of the intersection that will need fluid control.
19:04: RQ-3 is on location. They are now being instructed to pull up closer; Command needs their hydraulic tools.
19:05: Command is requesting Rescue 11 be added to the call.
19:06: 99-4 is approaching and is being told there’s a ton of cars there, just find a place to park and “walk up to the scene.” Station 11 is being activated. EN-3 is approaching, and 99-4 is now reporting on scene.
19:07: Chief 11 is en route.
19:09: Command states BAS has now requested a third unit.
19:10: Station 99 is being toned for a third ambulance. 99-5 is now responding.
19:12: Command is requesting the aircraft in the air to the parking lot of the former Days Inn. Rescue 11 is responding.
19:13: 99-5 is being instructed to stage in the intersection with the rest of the vehicles and is now reporting on location.
19:14: Stations 1 and 99 are being alerted for a medical call in the City; Station 1 is reportedly unavailable for that call.
19:15: Station 3 is reaching out to Command; they’re just being told to stage and walk up to the scene. Squad 3-2 is responding. Per Control, the aircraft will be Stat 3 with an 11 minute ETA to the scene from their base at UPMC Cranberry. 99-5 is reporting en route; Control is asking them to confirm they are responding to the medical call in the City and they state they are.
19:17: SQ-3-2 is on location.
19:18: Squad 11 is responding. 99-2 is transporting to the LZ. RQ-11 is approaching but is not being given any immediate orders. 99-2 is now out at the LZ as well.
19:22: Stat 3 is airborne from Cranberry. SQ-11 is on scene.
19:27: The pilot is now requesting the LZ briefing.
19:28: 99-4 is transporting a patient, believed to be the female driver initially reported unresponsive in the City, to BMH, ALS. The ground crew has visual on the aircraft coming from the north. The helicopter is passing to the northeast over Butler Township toward the junction of Rt 422 and Rt 8.
19:29: The helicopter is turning southwest again near Rt 422.
19:30: Stat 3 still looking. They are northeast of Pullman Square.
19:31: The helicopter has now turned northwest over Pullman and are now over the high school.
19:32: Stat 3 is passing west over Pointe Plaza, but turning back to the east.
19:33: The helicopter is southbound near the Intermediate and now has visual on the scene of the incident. The ground crew is also reporting visual contact. Stat 3 now has the LZ in sight and will orbit to land.
19:36: The aircraft is now being marked on the ground at the LZ.
19:37: 99-4 is out at the hospital.
19:44: RQ-1 is asking the helicopter for their destination.
19:45: Stat 3 is airborne to Pittsburgh. The pilot reports they are en route to AGH.
19:57: The helicopter is arriving at Allegheny General Hospital.
20:06: Stations 1 and 11 are clear of the incident.
23:07: Incident terminated; Route 8 is reopened northbound and southbound. There were no other updates from the scene.
