Dirt Bike Accident, with Injury

15:26: Stations 20, 22, and 62 alerted for a dirt bike accident approximately 500 yards into the woods off Old Route 68 near the creek by the railroad tracks.

Multiple stations alerted for a dirt bike accident with injuries.

15:29: Rescue 20 en route. Station 19’s UTV requested to standby but is reportedly out of service per Captain 19. Captain 19 will be heading to the scene. Rescue 22 en route.

UTV 19 is requested to standby but is unavailable.

15:30: Control advising Captain 19 the patient has a head injury.

Update from Control advising of a head injury.

15:32: Squad 22-2 en route. 62-6 on scene.

15:34: Rescue 20 on location.

15:36: Station 19 units reporting they are clear of a medical call they were on and are standing by on station for this incident.

15:39: Rescue 22 on scene.

15:44: Chief 20 advising Lieutenant 20-2 they will need a Stokes basket and some other supplies; they may be able to get a Squad back in but it’s approximately 300 feet down a hill.

15:48: 62-4 now en route to this incident as well.

15:50: 62-4 now reporting back in service.

16:04: Control requested by Command to activate Team 300 as they will be taking the patient out over water, but Chief 300-2 is already on scene and he states they have enough personnel; the activation is for accounting purposes only.

Water Rescue Team 300 is requested to be activated for this call for recording purposes only.

16:06: Captain 19 is requested by Chief 20 to take a unit to Hillvue Lane to check if it is possible to land a helicopter in that area, otherwise they will go to Community Park.

Units are checking if it is possible to setup a landing zone nearby.

16:12: Units indicating they can land a helicopter at the scene. There has not been a request for a helicopter on the scanner.

16:13: Command now requesting a helicopter to the scene, advising it will be an extended extrication.

16:17: Control notifying Command LifeFlight 4 will be en route with an 8 minute ETA and Captain 19 was given as the ground contact. LF4 is at their base at Butler Airport

16:25: LifeFlight 4 is airborne from Butler Airport.

16:26: The patient is reported extricated and LF4 is requesting the LZ brief reporting 1 minute out.

16:27: LF4 reports they are showing overhead of the given coordinates. LZ reporting they have visual, they are directly under the aircraft now. The helicopter has now spotted the LZ and is circling to land.

16:30: The LZ crew is reporting a car port is going to be held down, LF4 will need to circle again; LF4 states everything needs to be secured.

16:33: Captain 19 reporting LifeFlight 4 is on the ground at the landing zone.

16:50: Captain 19 reporting LifeFlight 4 is off the ground en route to Children’s.

16:51: Captain 19 reports operations are complete at the landing zone; Control states they are all out of the woods now. Units are going to begin clearing soon.

16:52: Chief 300-2 is reporting Team 300 units are clear of the call.
