Garage Fire: Yellow Creek Road, Muddy Creek Twp

13:38: Stations 24, 13, 22, 33, and 64 dispatched for a detached garage on fire at 661 Yellow Creek Road in Muddy Creek Township. Stations 33 and 13 acknowledge the call.

13:40: Tanker 22 is responding. 64-2 is diverting to the fire from a medical call and is requesting mutual aid to cover the medical; they’re BLS-only.

13:42: Control advises 64-2 that they’ll have a male patient with possible smoke inhalation; they state they can see a large amount of heavy, black smoke in the area. Station 24 is also advising they have a header from their station.

13:43: Chief 13 states the header is visible from his location, as well; he is requesting Station 24’s second alarm. Engine 22-3 is en route.

13:44: Station 24 is advising C-13 that they only have 2 firefighters on Station and they’re asking if he wants their Engine or Tanker first. They’re instructed to roll the Tanker first.

13:45: Engine 33 is en route.

13:46: Station 24 is requesting a re-alert for additional manpower.

13:48: EN-13 is on scene with a 30’x25′ garage fully-involved and a vehicle on fire in the woods with another structure endangered. C-13 has Command. 64-2 is also arriving. Tanker 24-2 is responding.

13:49: The next-in Engine is instructed to tie into EN-13 at the end of the driveway.

13:51: TN-22 is on scene, requesting orders. They’re to supply EN-22-3.

13:53: BR-33 is responding.

13:55: Command is requesting a rundown of units on the road; Control advises the second alarm was 1500, 2200, 1200, and 1400 out of Lawrence County. They’re showing 1546, 2202, 1201, 1405 are en route. Command requests Station 12 for a Tanker and Station 14 for a fill site at the farm at 184 Ragan Road. EN-22 is on scene.

13:56: TN-24-2 is on scene; they’re to stage for supply and send their manpower to Command. Stations 12 and 14 are being dispatched. TN-22 reports they are at a quarter tank.

13:57: SQ-13 and BR-13 are on location.

14:01: Second alert for Stations 12 and 14 due to no acknowledgment, followed by acknowledgment from Station 12.

14:02: Station 1500 reports they have 2 firefighters on station. They’re instructed to send the Tanker if they have a driver, but they state they do not.

14:03: Control is advising Command that there’s been no acknowledgment from Station 14; Command states they’ll use a hydrant at Whitestown Road instead. Engine 14-2 is now responding and asking to confirm the address for the fill site; Control confirms 184 Ragan Rd, Muddy Creek Twp.

14:04: All Tankers are to stage on their line of approach and send their manpower to Command.

14:11: A cooler of drinking water is needed.

14:16: Crews operating are getting spent quickly and need replaced.

14:18: BR-33 is on location.

14:24: Tanker 12 is on location.

14:38: 64-2 is asking a 62 unit that was on the road for an earlier call to respond to this incident to transport the male burn patient to UPMC Mercy.

14:49: 62-2 is on scene, but is so far unable to locate 64-2 due to the road being blocked by fire apparatus.

15:04: All Station 2200 units are clear and in service.

15:10: Tanker 1201 is clear.

15:19: Station 12 is in service.

15:36: Incident terminated. Remaining units are clear.
