Residential Structure Fire: Sunset Dr

15:17: Stations 14, 35, 25, 13, and 99 dispatched for a structure fire at the corner of Sunset Drive and Holyoke Road in Center Township. Multiple calls for a house on fire. 99-2 is assigned and responding. Multiple officers from Station 35 are responding to their Station. Station 14 acknowledges the call.

15:18: Lt-25-3 is en route to his station. Chief 14 is responding directly to the scene; Control is advising him they have gotten multiple calls on it, and it is the farm house at the corner.

15:20: C-14 is requesting a 2nd Alarm. A firefighter from Station 25 is arriving and is asking C-14 his location; C-14 states he is pulling up now.

15:21: C-14 is on location reporting a working structure fire. Stations 3, 1, 9, 33, and 38 are being alerted; the address is now being given as 615 Sunset Drive. Engines 14-2, 1-2, 38, and 13 are responding. Station 3 acknowledges the call.

15:22: A firefighter is advising C-14 that there are no vehicles in the driveway, but they’re unsure if anyone is in the residence. C-14 states he needs a tanker.

15:23: A child reportedly got off the bus around 15:20 and is unaccounted for. Command reports a 2-story residential structure with heavy smoke showing after a 360°.

15:24: EN-14-2 is approaching and is asking if they are to grab a hydrant; they’re now reporting on scene. Station 3-2 acknowledges the call.

15:25: Engine 33, Tankers 13 and 3, and Chief 1 are responding.

15:26: Tanker 35-2 is en route. Lt-14 is telling EN-14-2 operator he’s ready for water.

15:27: Tanker 25, Utility 25, and Engine 14 are en route.

15:29: Engine 35 is responding. 99-2 is on location.

15:30: Water supply is connected to the 4″ to the Engine… “Go ahead and send it.”

15:31: Interior crews have made it to Division 2 with a line.

15:32: No active fire seen on Div 2, but very high heat readings. Sunset Dr is being closed.

15:34: EN-1 is laying a line from the next road but states they may not have enough hose; they’re to lay what they’ve got. Division 1 is clear, unoccupied.

15:36: TN-3 is being asked if they carry 4″ supply line and are stating they have 5″. Remote power shutoff requested, good address is 615 Sunset Dr.

15:40: “Charge the hydrant.”

15:42: Mercer 85 is requested by C-33 to transfer an Engine to Station 33. Remote disconnect will be in process, 1hr ETA for a crew.

15:48: LR-3 is back in service, but other 3 units are still operating on scene.

15:50: A fan is being requested inside.

16:05: Fire from the eaves again.

16:12: Tankers 25 and 35 are being released by Command.

16:13: Power company on scene per C-1.

16:54: EN-1 can shut down the hydrant.

17:23: Station 33 is clearing; EN-85 is released.

17:36: Incident terminated.
