House Fire: Stone Church Road

11:57: Stations 22, 13, 24, 12, and 90 dispatched to 165 Stone Church Road, Lancaster Township, for a reported house on fire. Occupants have evacuated. Station 22 acknowledges the call.

11:58: Stations 24, 52, and 21 acknowledge the call.

11:59: Tower 42, Engine 19, Tanker 19, and 62-3 are en route.

12:00: Tanker 24-2 is responding. Second alert for Stations 12 and 13 due to no acknowledgment.

12:01: Stations 12 and 13 acknowledge the call.

12:03: Engine 13 is responding.

12:04: Engine 22-3 is en route.

12:05: Chief 22 is on scene reporting a 2½ story residential with smoke coming from the attic and a working fire in the attic from the chimney.

12:06: Engine 24 is responding. Command confirms a working fire in the attic. Offensive operations.

12:07: (Tanker?)-22 is en route.

12:09: TN-22 is advised they will be first due; they are to pull a 200′ hand line through the A-side door. They report they are following EN-22-3.

12:10: EN-22-3 is to take the A-side instead, and TN-22 is to feed them. TN-24-2 is approaching; Command states they will be the 2nd due engine and they are to pull a backup line off EN-22-3 to the A-side. EN-13 approaching.

12:11: EN-13 is instructed to place ladders on all four sides. RQ-12 is responding. All units staging are to leave a lane open; Stone Church @ Whitestown is the closest hydrant for refills.

12:12: TN-24-2 is on scene. They are to stage on the line of approach. Crews are just getting a line in service now and do not need water yet.

12:15: LR-22 is to pass the initial units, pull into the driveway to the C-side of the house and setup. TN-13 is approaching; they are to stage on the line of approach and send their crews to assist with ground ladders.

12:16: EN-24 is approaching. Operations is asking Command for someone inside to begin salvage.

12:17: All incoming units are to stage on their line of approach, leave one lane open, and send their crews to the B-side of the structure for staging. EN-19 and LR-22 are on location. EN-19 is to be the FAST Team.

12:18: LR-22 is to begin salvage on Divisions 1 and 2 once they are in position. TN-19 is on scene.

12:20: At the incident’s 20-minute mark, Command reports they have 2 lines in service, with ladders on all 4 sides. There is a report of the fire knocked down, and they are checking for extension. TR-21 is on location; they are to assist with ground ladders.

12:21: TR-42 and TN-24 are on location. Command is beginning PAR checks.

12:22: TN-20 is on scene.

12:23: EN-12 is on location. Command is asking Ops to check on personnel as no one is answering his PAR checks. TN-22 is in the attic with PAR. EN-13 has 2 personnel inside.

12:25: Command states the smoke condition is improving from the exterior, but there is still smoke pushing from the highest portion of the roof on the C-side.

12:27: The Staging Officer is advising Command that staging is filled. Command advises Ops the C-side has improved; (it appears to be?) concentrated around the chimney and the roofline going toward the A and B-sides. Interior crews are reporting the fire is located around the chimney in the attic.

12:28: Command is requesting from staging crews to secure utilities and empty the fire place.

12:29: TN-22 crews are coming out and requesting a replacement crew to the attic.

12:31: Crews in the basement are advising Ops the power has been secured.

12:34: LR-22 is asking Command if they are to open all 4 sides of the chimney on the 2nd Division; they are to hold at this time.

12:36: TR-42 is advising Command there is smoke pushing up into the attic; they have the windows open but it’s not taking it out enough. Command is requesting a fan to the front door. Station 19 crews are going to go to the roof and drop chimney chains down.

12:42: Command is confirming with Ops that everything is OK and the incident can be marked under control. The incident is now marked under control so the timer can be stopped.

12:45: Command states there is smoke coming from the A-side and is checking if it is coming out the windows or from the structure. Crews are aware of it.

12:49: There is still heat pushing up through the chimney.

12:54: Crews are requesting a can to the basement.

13:08: Crews from staging are to begin removing ground ladders, per Command.

13:15: Command is asking Ops if they can start releasing units. Ops states there is still a little bit of heat, but it is coming down.

13:16: Staging is to being releasing some units. TR-21 crews in the basement have nothing and are exiting the building. Staging is asking Ops if they still need the backup line and the reply is that they only need the primary one now.

13:21: TN-13 is in service, returning to station.

13:23: TN-24-2 reports all Station 24 units are returning in service. EN-12 is also clear.

13:24: TN-20 is back in service.

13:25: EN-13 is back in service.

13:41: Station 19 units are clear followed by Station 42.

13:43: Someone is requesting a TIC to the 1st floor.

13:52: Someone is asking for the remaining hand line to be charged.

14:03: EN-22-3 is to shut down a line.

14:09: All Station 21 units are clear.

14:20: Command terminated; all remaining units are back in service.
