Explosion Investigation: Callery Boro

23:45: Station 19 alerted to assist PSP in the area of the intersection of Kline Avenue and Railroad Street in Callery Borough investigating a report of an explosion of unknown origin. PSP is en route.

23:46: Chief 19-2 reports they are already out investigating.

23:47: C-19-2 is advising Chief 19 that they had a large explosion in the area of the bakery; he states if you’re in the area of Callery Chemical on Mars-Evans City Road, looking back toward town, there is a smoke cloud trailing; they are looking for a source. They are going to send someone down the railroad tracks. C-19 is asking if it could have come from Callery Chemical and C-19-2 states it came from too far back toward town to be from there.

23:49: C-19 is asking C-19-2 if there are any rail cars on the sidetrack and the reply is negative, none were seen.

23:51: C-19-2 is asking if C-19 might have a contact at Callery Chemical to see if they’ve had any issues; C-19 states he will stop there.

23:52: C-19-2 is advising Captain 19 that the smoke appeared to be coming from was about 200 yards back the tracks, past the barriers.

23:53: Cap-19 states they are on the tracks now.

23:56: C-19 spoke with Callery Chem; they are clear, they did hear the explosion and 2 minutes later heard a “backup alarm” in the direction of the bakery.

23:57: The railroad tracks are reportedly clear.

00:12: C-19-2 reports they believe this to be someone using Tannerite (explosive targets). All units are back in service.
