MVA w/ Partial Ejection: Stevenson Rd

10:04: Police, FD, and EMS are requested by Chief 19-2 to 184 Stevenson Road, Connoquenessing Township for a male who rolled a Jeep; he self-extricated but has a lot of pain to his chest. This will be near the intersection of Stevenson and Kriess Roads.

10:05: Stations 12, 3, and 99 dispatched for the MVA with injury and rollover.

10:06: 99-4 is diverting and en route to this MVA from a previous medical call.

10:07: Chief 12-2 is responding.

10:08: C-19-2 is advising 99-4 the male has a chest injury and swelling; a roll bar on a convertible-top Jeep came down and crushed his chest. Station 12 acknowledges the call.

10:09: Second alert for Station 3 followed by their acknowledgment.

10:11: Station 3 acknowledges the call with 1 firefighter on station.

10:12: C-12-2 is on scene with Command. Rescue 12 is en route.

10:13: Command is requesting the availability of the nearest aircraft; he is reporting a partial ejection. He is stating the LZ will be the municipal building near the intersection of Stevenson and Rt 68.

10:14: Station 3 is asking Command if they are to setup an LZ or respond to the scene; he states he does not have the status of a bird yet so they are to come to the scene. EN-3 is en route.

10:15: Command is now requesting Control move the LZ to the Farm Show. Tanker 12 is en route. RQ-12 is approaching; they are to park in front of C-19-2 and setup for traffic control.

10:16: RQ-12 now instructed to just divert to the scene, instead.

10:17: Per Control, Stat MedEvac 3 is standing by with an 11 minute ETA to the Farm Show Airport (3G9). C-12-2 is asking 99-4 if the helicopter should be put in the air; the patient is having difficulty breathing now. 99-4 advises negative, he is to wait for EMS arrival. EN-3 is on scene.

10:18: 99-4 is approaching; they’re to pull in behind EN-3. TN-12 is approaching; they’re to stage and control traffic.

10:19: 99-4 is now on location.

10:20: C-12-2 is now instructing Control to put the helicopter in the air. Control states Stat is now declining due to weather. The closest LifeFlight helicopter is at least 20 minutes out and they have not checked for weather; C-12-2 is asking that they do so.

10:21: Control is stating LifeFlight is unreachable by phone.

10:32: Per Control, LifeFlight reported they had phone problems; they can transport in 9 minutes, but the patient will need taken to the Butler Airport (BTP) in Penn Township. Command is confirming 99-4 will rendezvous with them at the airport.

10:37: 99-4 is transporting to the Airport.

10:52: 99-4 is out with LifeFlight.

11:09: 99-4 reports patient care has been transferred to LifeFlight with a destination of AGH. LF-4 is airborne.

11:27: LF-4 appears to be arriving on the helipad at Allegheny General Hospital.

11:34: EN-3 is back in service.
