Barn Fire: North Pike Road

23:50: Stations 15, 10, and 45 dispatched for a barn fire across from the American Legion, 754 N. Pike Rd. Multiple 9-1-1 calls.

23:51: 45-1 and Chief 15 are responding.

23:53: Chief 10 acknowledges the call. 45-1 is on scene confirming a working fire.

24:54: Chief 15-2 is on scene requesting a second alarm activation.

23:55: Stations 9, 27, and 3 are being alerted.

23:56: Chief 27 is responding to his station. Command is advising Station 15 of “no need for the ladder, engine or tanker. Manpower.” Station 27 acknowledges the call. Station 3 is asking which apparatus is needed from them and is advised the tanker at this time.

23:57: Station 9 acknowledges the call. C-15 is on scene assuming Command. Engine 10 and Tanker 10 are en route.

00:01: Engine 15 is en route. Captain 9 is requesting his station be reactivated for manpower. Tanker 15 is also responding.

00:02: Tanker 27 is en route. Command is asking Control which units are en route and is advised Engines 10 and 15, Tankers 10 and 15, and Tanker 27.

00:03: Command states they have a small mobile facility(?) on fire with about a hundred round bales; the main barn is not involved.

00:04: Tanker 3 is responding. TN-10 is being instructed to come all the way back the driveway to supply EN-10. Rescue 3 is responding.

00:05: EN-15 is being instructed to proceed back the driveway and drop their manpower, then proceed back out the driveway.

00:06: SQ-15-2 is being instructed to setup one-lane traffic on the roadway. Station 15 is asking if the Ladder is needed and is advised to bring the Brush instead with manpower. EN-15 is on scene.

00:08: Engine 9 is en route.

00:10: Tanker 3 is reporting out of service with mechanical problems.

00:14: RQ-10 and RQ-3 are approaching; they are both to stage on the hard road and walk their crews back.

00:15: TN-3 now reports they are responding.

00:41: Command is marking the fire under control at the incident’s 50 minute mark. Control is advised they’ll be working on extensive overhaul, but there’s no further need for time checks.

01:01: Station 45 is being reactivated for their rehab trailer.

03:47: EN-9 is back in service.
