Structure Fire w/ 2 Air Evacs: Armstrong Co

01:42: Stations 28 and 29 dispatched to 258 Upper Millers Eddy Rd, Perry Twp, Armstrong Co, for full assists on a structure fire.

01:43: Lt-29 is responding to the scene directly.

01:45: Chiefs 28-3 and 28 are en route to their station.

01:46: Station 29 acknowledges the call and reports a heavy column of smoke and visible flames in the air.

01:49: DC-29 is asking Control which stations have been dispatched. He is advised that Armstrong requested only 28 and 29. He is requesting Stations 26, 39, and 230.

01:50: Stations 26 and 39 are activated for the call.

01:51: Engine 28-2 is responding. Chief 26 is en route to his station. Station 28 is requesting a re-trip for a driver for their tanker.

01:52: Station 28 is reactivated.

01:54: DC-29 is on location with a fully involved fire. He states it is extremely foggy once you start down into Millers Eddy.

01:56: Engine 26 is en route.

01:57: Engine 29 and Tanker 28 are en route.

01:59: Rescue 29 is responding.

02:01: DC-29(?) is stating they will not be able to put a porta-tank up.

02:03: Engine/Rescue 530 is on scene.

02:04: Someone is instructing EMS to proceed straight up a driveway; a patient is going to be moved to them. Tanker 530 is approaching. An engine is instructed to drop their crew and pull into the next driveway; room is needed for tankers.

02:05: Tanker 530 is requesting orders again; they’re instructed to standby until 29 gets their crew through, and then they are to come up behind the engine to feed water.

02:07: All apparatus coming down the hill are being instructed to either standby or pull off until the ambulance can leave. One unit is reporting out of water.

02:08: EN-29-2(?) is requesting orders; they’re behind Petrolia’s tanker. They’re advised once the ambulance turns around, they and TN-28 are to proceed down. No other units are to come down over the hill until the ambulance is back up.

02:10: Engine 530 is asking a Petrolia unit if they’re read for water and is advised they are. Command states the ambulance is coming out and is reiterating that no one else is to be coming down over the hill.

02:11: Command is instructing all units to send tankers only over the hill except smaller units that can fit in driveways(?). Larger apparatus are to stay at the top of the hill.

02:12: Tanker 530 is asking if they are to back down the hill and Command states all tankers can drive down the hill and will be able to make the loop. Tankers only are to proceed down the hill. Manpower is needed at the structure; all manpower is to be sent to EN-28.

02:13: EN-530 is advising EN-28 they are working on water for them now. EN-26 is approaching. TN(?)-28 is being instructed to charge a line.

02:14: TN(?)-28 states “both” lines are open and is instructed to charge the bumper line, also.

02:15: Station 26 is being reactivated to establish a landing zone at the Karns City High School. EN-26 reports they are staging and sending their manpower.

02:17: Armstrong 232(?) is asking Armstrong if they have any word on a helicopter yet. EN-26 is reporting on scene and asking Butler Control if there has been any response from their station for the LZ. Control advises there has been no further acknowledgment. Chief 26 is requesting Station 9 to handle it, instead.

02:18: Station 9 is activated for the call. A unit is stating they are out of water, awaiting the next tanker.

02:19: EN-26-2 is on scene. EN-28 is advising Command they are on tank water and are at a ½ tank. They’re advised they’re going to try to take it down to 2 lines, and another tanker is going to be hooked up.

02:39: RQ-9 is on scene. EMS is reportedly en route to their location with a 15 minute ETA.

02:42: Stat 8 is reporting 2 minutes out, requesting an LZ briefing.

02:47: Stat 8 is marked on the ground.

02:51: Stat 16 is requesting their LZ briefing, reporting 2 minutes out.

02:55: Stat 16 is marked on the ground.

02:59: Stat 8 is airborne to Mercy Hospital.

03:09: Stat 16 is airborne to Pittsburgh.

03:25: Command is stating they need air tanks filled. Chief 26 is asking his station if they have a driver for their rescue for the cascade. They do not.

03:26: Command is requesting Rimersburg for a cascade if they have one.

07:03: EN-28 is clear of the scene and in service. The incident is terminated, but they state there may be additional calls on this later on.
