MVA w/ Rollover, Entrapment: Freshcorn Rd

21:34: Stations 21, 22, 19, and 51, along with Squad 98, dispatched to the area of 5546 Freshcorn Road, near the golf course, for a vehicle rolled over, over the guardrails, with entrapment and unknown injuries.

21:35: Chief 42-2 is advising Chief 21 he is already on Route 19 if C-21 wants him to start that way and he is asked to do so.

21:36 Rescue 21, Engine 19, Rescue 22, and SQ-98 are responding.

21:38: Engine 21 is en route. C-21 is on scene with Command confirming 1 over a guardrail, over the hill.

21:39: EN-19 is asking Command which direction to come in; they are advised either is fine, this will be just south of the golf course.

21:40: Command is confirming 1 female patient entrapped.

21:41: Command is advising EMS they have 1 patient inside the vehicle; she is conscious and alert complaining of pain all over but no sensation to her lower extremities.

21:42: Command is asking if Fire Police are en route and is advised FP-21 is responding.

21:43: Command is instructing Captain 21-2 to take Operations upon his arrival; he states they’re just coming through the roundabout.

21:44: RQ-21, SQ-98, 51-2, and EN-21 are on scene.

21:45: Command is instructing Fire Police to close both ends of Freshcorn, at the roundabout at Glen Eden and at the Golf Course.

21:46: RQ-22 is arriving.

21:47: EN-19 is approaching, requesting orders, and reporting on scene. They are instructed to go behind RQ-22 and send all personnel over the hill.

21:48: Command is requesting the availability of air medical. They will land at the golf course if available. FP units state they are closing Freshcorn now.

21:51: EN-22 is on scene.

21:52: Command is instructing EN-22 to hold back and setup as a blocker. Per Control, Stat 3 is on standby with a 7 minute ETA to the golf course. Command is now requesting the aircraft in the air. Chief 19-2 will be the ground contact.

21:53: Operations is reporting to Command the patient is out of the vehicle.

21:54: Command is marking the patient extricated with Control.

21:57: Stat 3 is airborne from UPMC Cranberry. Command is instructing all units to shut off their emergency lighting.

22:00: Stat 3 is reporting they are overhead and is requesting the LZ briefing.

22:01: EN-19 is being instructed to charge a line once it has been deployed. Additional FP units reported en route but were instructed to disregard at this time.

22:02: The helicopter is marked on the ground.

22:04: EN-19 is asking C-19-2 to let them know when he’s ready for water.

22:11: SQ-98 is reporting patient care has been transferred to the flight crew.

22:16: Stat 3 is reported airborne. A tow truck has arrived at one of the traffic control points.

22:26: Stat 3 is arriving on the helipad at UPMC Presbyterian in Pittsburgh.

22:29: Station 22 and 19 units are reporting back in service. Command is advising FP to standby until it is verified if PD still needs them.

22:32: FP units are now being instructed to begin clearing out. Command is terminated; all units are returning in service.
