MVA w/ Injury: Dufford Road

22:06: Stations 20, 22 and 62 dispatched for an MVA with injury on the sharp bend of Dufford Road off Old Route 68.

22:07: All units are advised a caller is reporting the driver is unconscious.

22:09: Second alert for Stations 20 and 22.

22:10: Station 20 acknowledges.

22:11: Chief 22-3 and Rescue 20 are responding.

22:12: Air medical is requested on standby. Rescue 22 is responding.

22:14: RQ-20 is asking which ambulance is responding and is advised 62-2.

22:15: RQ-20 is now reporting on scene. Control advises Stat MedEvac 3 is checking weather with a 9 minute ETA to the Forward Township Municipal Building.

22:16: Lieutenant 20-2 is advising EMS they have 1 patient, snoring respirations; EMS is instructed to come in off Old Rt 68 and they state they just made the left there. They’re advising Control if Stat 3 is available, to keep them on their base at this time. Control states they are on standby.

22:18: Engine 22 is en route. Squad 98 is offering assistance; 62-2 advises they can stay in service as there are 2 units already en route.

22:20: C-22-3 is going to Dufford at Needle Point Road.

22:21: RQ-22 is approaching, requesting orders; they are to stage and send their manpower to Command. They are now reporting on scene.

22:24: EN-22 is to close Dufford at Old Route 68.

22:25: EN-22 is on location.

22:27: 62-5 is asking EN-22 if they have a location nearby suitable for a landing zone.

22:28: 62-5 is requesting the helicopter in the air to the intersection of Old Route 68 and Ash Stop.

22:32: Stat 3 is airborne from their base at UPMC Cranberry.

22:37: The ground crew is reporting the helicopter directly overhead and giving the LZ briefing.

22:38: EN-22 is advising Command that Stat 3 is on the ground; they state they’re on their way to the LZ now.

22:39: 62-2 is reporting en route to the LZ.

22:40: The ambulance is out at the landing zone.

23:05: Stat is airborne.

23:08: EN-22 is reporting Station 22 units are clear of the scene.

23:15: Stat 3 is arriving on the helipad at UPMC Presbyterian, Pittsburgh.

23:30: Command is terminated; FD units are back in service. PSP remains on scene at this time.
