MVA: I-79 Near Rt 488 Exit

19:59: Stations 33, 24, and 52 dispatched to the 99.6 mile marker of I-79 for a dark blue vehicle in the median. The caller was unsure if it was an MVA. Chief 33 is responding.

20:00: Station 24 acknowledges with 1 firefighter on station. Engines 33-2 and 33 are en route.

20:01: 52-1 is responding. Station 64 is now being dispatched to assist PSP; they are out at the 96.4 MM of I-79 with a male passed out in a vehicle in the median. Tower 33 is responding.

20:02: Rescue 24 is en route.

20:03: Station 64 acknowledges the call.

20:04: Chief 24-3 is asking to confirm the mile marker; Control states the first call was the 99.6 and the second was 96.4. C-33 is advising he is coming southbound right now.

20:05: C-24-3 is northbound at the 99.5 with nothing found yet. EN-24 is now reporting they are on scene at the 96.8 mile marker; asked by Control if they have a vehicle there, they state affirmative, 1 vehicle in the median.

20:06: C-24-(2?) is asking Control if an ambulance is en route; he is advised 52-1 is responding. He is advising 52-1 they will have 1 male patient, unresponsive, with a smell of alcohol. PSP is on scene and they are in the median just north of the Route 488 exit.

20:07: C-24-3 is discussing with C-33 the likelihood both dispatches were for the same incident.

20:08: Air medical is requested on standby if available.

20:10: The Slippery Rock unit responding is advised 1 Narcan has been administered. They state they are ALS; a Portersville unit is responding EMT-only.

20:11: 64-2 is asking if they are to continue in; they are to proceed in for now as Slippery Rock is not on scene yet.

20:12: Control states LifeFlight 4 is on standby with a 12 minute ETA. 64-2 is now reporting on scene.

20:18: 64-2 is back in service.

20:20: Command is now canceling the request for a helicopter.

20:34: 52-1 is transporting to BMH. Station 33 units are clear of the scene.

20:53: Incident terminated; Station 24 is back in service.
