Accidental GSW, Hooker Road

21:09: Station 56 dispatched for a Delta response to 871 Hooker Road in Concord Township for a 52 year old male with gunshot wounds. They are still obtaining information at the time of dispatch.

21:10: Station 56 acknowledges the call; 56-1 is en route. They are asking Control to dispatch the nearest fire department for QRS and to find out if PSP is already on the road as they will be on scene shortly. Control states this is a 52 year old female patient.

21:11: Station 30 is alerted for QRS.

21:12: Control states the caller reports the firearm was dropped and accidentally discharged.

21:13: Chief 30-3 is en route to the scene.

21:14: 56-1 is requesting the availability of air medical and requesting they be placed on standby.

21:16: C-30-3 is asking if Control can yet confirm if the scene is safe and the weapon is secure; they’re unable to confirm the whereabouts of the firearm but Control states it was reported as an accident.

21:18: Control states both Stat 8 and LifeFlight 4 gave 15 minute ETAs and they are both checking weather now.

21:20: C-30-3 is on scene. Control is now advising LF-4 is good for weather and they’re on standby for the North Washington Rodeo Grounds if needed.

21:21: 56-1 is now reporting they are on location.

21:23: C-30-3 is requesting the helicopter in the air per the paramedic, the LZ will be Route 38 at Rider Road, and he will be the ground contact. Station 30 is to be re-alerted for manpower.

21:24: Station 30 is re-alerted.

21:28: Control is advising C-30-3 they gave the aircraft the center point of Rider Road for now and it will be LF-4 with a 15 minute ETA.

21:29: Station 30 acknowledges the call.

21:31: C-30-3 is now advising 114 Rider Road will be the address for the landing zone.

21:33: Brush 30 is responding.

21:24: LF-4 is airborne from the Butler Airport.

21:40: The pilot is contacting LZ-30 for their landing zone briefing.

21:42: The pilot is asking about details of the landing zone; it seems he does not have the correct location spotted yet. C-30-3 is advising him to come back to the south.

21:43: The pilot has visual on the LZ at this time; he is asking if there is an ETA for the ambulance yet.

21:44: The ambulance is reportedly less than 5 minutes out from the LZ.

21:46: 56-1 is being instructed to hold position at the end of the road, the aircraft is coming down now.

21:47: The helicopter appears to be on the ground off Rider Road.

22:05: LF-4 is airborne from the LZ; C-30-3 is reporting the LZ is terminated.

22:06: Control is asking if C-30-3 knows the destination of the aircraft and he states he believes AGH.

22:13: C-30-3 is reporting all Station 30 units are clear of the scene. 56-1 is also reporting back in service.

22:26: LF-4 is on the helipad at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.
