Shed Fire, Woodland Road

20:20: Structure fire response dispatched to 144 Woodland Road in Lancaster Township. A caller reports a wood burner caught the wood piles on fire close to a shed with equipment stored in it. Stations 22, 90, 12, 13, 24, and 62 are alerted.

20:21: Chiefs 22 and 21-2 are en route. Stations 13 and 20 acknowledge the call. Station 51 will monitor the call from their station. Tower 42 is en route.

20:22: Chief and Tower 21, Tanker, Ladder, and Engine 22 are all responding.

20:27: Engine 24 is en route.

20:28: Tanker 13 is en route.

20:28: Chief 22 has a shed fully involved next to a small garage that is exposed but not involved.

20:30: E-22 will be second due engine, they are to lay into T-22; T-24 to come down the driveway.

20:32: Tanker 12 is responding.

20:33: Command is stating they will be using the hydrant at Whitestown and Little Creek Road. R-22 and E-13 are on scene.

20:35: Chief 21-2 is on scene. T-22 is being told to charge their 1¾” line.

20:36: T-13 and E-12 are on scene.

20:37: All units, with the exception of tankers, that are not on scene are now canceled by Command. The fire is “relatively under control.”

20:38: T-20 and T-19 are on scene.

20:40: Fire Police units are being instructed to return to station. E-24 is back in service.

20:43: Tankers 12 and 24-2 are on scene.

20:45: Command states they still have a large wood pile smoldering a good bit at this time.

20:46: Command states they are working on overhaul.

20:48: E-13 is being told to charge the 4″ line.

20:50: E-22 being told they need to switch to a tanker.

20:56: Captain 22 is directing an engine to the hydrant at Whitestown and Little Creek.

21:17: Command is advised they have 3 full tankers; Tanker 19 and the remainder of Station 19 units are back in service.

21:20: T-13 is being told to charge their 4″ line. Chief 22 is asking for personnel to shuttle drinking water.

21:37: T-22 instructed to shut down their 2½” line.

21:40: T-22 to shut down the 1¾” line. They are going to begin breaking down some of the line.

21:44: EMS has been released by Command.

21:50: T-13(?) is being instructed to shut down their 4″ line.

22:07: Woodland Road Command is terminated. Chief 22 is asking Control to have the Lancaster Township Road department come out to salt the road; it is covered in tanker water.
