Fall From Tree Stand, Ray Road

14:31: Station 31 and Superior EMS alerted for a 57 year old male who fell approximately 15 feet from a tree stand in the area of 324 Ray Road. The patient is complaining of a back injury.

14:34: Superior 107 is en route.

14:35: Superior 110 reports they will be on scene shortly.

14:36: S-110 is on scene. Chief 37 is en route to the scene.

14:37: S-110 is possibly reporting this is directly across from Gilmore Road.

14:38: Chief 31 is en route to the scene.

14:39: S-110 is asking for the availability of the nearest air medical either to the scene or the helipad at Grove City hospital.

14:40: Patient is reportedly 50 yards off the roadway but can be carried out(? S-110’s radio is very garbled.)

14:42: S-107 now on scene; S-110 is asking them for a backboard with straps and a cervical collar.

14:43: C-37 is on scene.

14:47: C-31 is on scene. Stat 8 is on standby with a 10 minute ETA to the scene. S-110 states keep them on standby at this time; they are possibly still assessing.

14:54: S-110 is now requesting Stat 8 be launched to the Grove City Hospital.

15:03: S-107 is transporting the patient to the Grove City helipad. Chief 31 is reporting Station 31 units are back in service but Control is advising there is a Game Warden in the area that will need direction to the scene.

15:04: S-110 states they will show the Game Warden in and Station 31 and Station 37 units are all clear. Stat 8 is airborne from the Grove City airport now.

15:10: S-110 is reporting the Game Commission is on scene.

15:29: S-110 is now clear of the scene.

15:30: There has been no sign of Stat 8 departing the Grove City hospital at this time.

15:39: Stat 8 is now airborne west of the hospital.

15:52: The helicopter appears to be approaching Saint Elizabeth Youngstown.
