Multiple ODs, Beaver Ave, Ellwood City

23:40: Station 62 dispatched to 630 Beaver Ave, Elwood City Borough in Lawrence County for an unknown aged person, possible overdose. Medic Rescue is responding from Beaver Falls. This is an Echo response.

23:41: Station 62 acknowledges the call; Control is asking if they will be able to send two trucks, they have 5 patients with 1 cardiac arrest.

23:48: Lawrence CO unit advising there were 5 unresponsive, now 2 responsive but will need medical attention.

23:52: LEOC is advising CPR in progress on 2 patients.

23:55: 62-3 is on scene.

23:56: Lawrence Co 2310 is stating there are 4 ALS units on scene. LEOC says 4 more en route.

23:57: 62-4 is on scene.

23:58: 51-3 is clear of a prior incident, en route to this incident.

00:00: Lawrence Co 9507 is advising 2310 they are arriving and BLS-only.

00:01: Lawrence Co 9521 is on scene.

00:02: 1902 possibly requesting an LZ.

00:03: 2310 states “someone is requesting a helicopter.” LEOC asking how many; he states at this time just one. 2310 is now asking 1901 which unit requested the helicopter, it was 62-3. 2310 states they will take them to the hospital.

00:04: LEOC is asking where the LZ will be; 2310 says the hospital. LEOC asks if they need a department for the landing zone; the reply is negative. 2310 states any other unit not on scene can slow their response; there is an ALS unit with all patients.

00:05: LEOC is asking which units have gone where; 2310 states 62-4 will be the one flying from the hospital but no one has left the scene yet. LEOC advises Stat MedEvac 3 gave a 12 minute ETA and asks if they’re wanted in the air; 2310 states yes.

00:09: 2310 is advising LEOC that 62-3 will be en route to rendezvous with the helicopter at the hospital. LEOC had asked 2310 if they could divert the last incoming ambulance to another call; he now states they can.

00:11: Medic Rescue is on scene and is instructed to standby at this time. 62-3 is now reporting en route to the LZ.

00:12: 62-4 is now reporting en route with 1 male to UPMC Cranberry. Stat 3 has now departed their base at UPMC Cranberry.

00:14: 9521 is en route, Code 2 ALS, to UPMC Jameson. 9507 states they were not needed and are clear of the incident.

00:15: 62-3 is out at the LZ.

00:17: 2310 is advising LEOC that Medic Rescue is en route to Beaver Med(? Possibly Heritage Valley Beaver?) with 1 male.

00:19: The helicopter is entering Ellwood City.

00:21: Squad 98 is clear of the scene and returning to Butler.

00:25: 2310 is now stating that all patients have now left the scene either on their own or via ambulance, and all units that remained on scene are now clear.

00:35: Stat 3 is reported airborne to UPMC Presby.

00:37: 62-4 is out at UPMC Cranberry.
