Male with Finger Amp, Du-Co Ceramics

09:15: Stations 45 and 99 dispatched to the rear parking lot of Du-Co Ceramics, 155 South Rebecca Street in Saxonburg, for an unknown age male who had his hand stuck in a piece of machinery; he is no longer trapped but is bleeding from the hand. This will be third call to Station 45.

09:16: Station 15 states they are going to QRS the call until EMS arrives. Control states the caller was third party but was advised the patient is losing “a lot” of blood.

09:17: Station 99 is unable to handle the call. Supervisor 45 states they will have a unit free up at the hospital shortly; there is no need to dispatch backup at this time. 45-3 is now reporting clear of BMH, en route to Du-Co.

09:21: Squad 15 is on scene stating the patient is in the parking lot being worked on at this time.

09:27: Supervisor 45 is advising 45-3 the patient had his hand stuck in a hydraulic press; traumatic amputation of index finger and middle finger down to the first knuckle on the right hand.

09:34: 45-3 is on scene.

09:42: 45-3 is transporting to Presby.

09:43: Squad 15 is available.

10:18: 45-3 is out at UPMC Presbyterian.
