07:19: Karns City Regional Ambulance Station 56 dispatched to 712 Bruin Road, Washington Township, for a 73 year old male with a self-inflicted gunshot wound, reported not conscious, unknown if breathing.
07:20: Station 56 acknowledges the call.
07:22: 56-2 is en route. Control states CPR is in progress. EMS is requesting Station 30 for QRS.
07:23: Station 30 alerted for the call.
07:26: Second alert for Station 30 due to no acknowledgment. 56-1 is now requesting Station 29 be added to the call as well.
07:27: Station 29 is alerted and acknowledges the call. Chief 30-2 is checking for an ETA from PSP, Control only replies they have been notified.
07:28: Chief 30-2 is asking Control to check for an actual ETA. Control is now stating PSP gave a 30 minute ETA.
07:29: Control states the caller indicates the firearm has been removed.
07:30: Safety 30 is en route.
07:31: 56-2 is on scene.
07:33: 56-2 is requesting the availability of the nearest air medical; they still have a pulse.
07:34: Control is checking with Chief 30 for an LZ; he states the Rodeo Grounds.
07:36: Rescue 29 en route. Control states Stat MedEvac is checking weather at this time.
07:37: Control states neither air medical service is available due to weather. 56-2 is asking Control to notify Butler Hospital they will be en route with a 45 minute ETA as BMH is the closest hospital.
07:42: Rescue 29 is on scene.
07:49: 56-2 is transporting ALS emergency to Butler.
07:53: 56-2 is asking Control to update the hospital on the patient’s condition; Control states the hospital was notified and is checking for an updated ETA. 56-2 now states 15-20 minutes.
08:03: 56-2 is reporting a 5 minute ETA to the hospital.
08:06: 56-2 is out at Butler Memorial Hospital.
08:25: All units are clear of the scene.
