19:35: Stations 33, 24, and 52 dispatched for an MVA with unknown injuries on I-79 southbound in Worth Township, near the 104 mile marker. A camper trailer rolled over. This is near the Kelly Road underpass, just south of the exit to Route 108 / Slippery Rock. Chief 33 is responding.
19:36: Station 52 acknowledges the call. Chief 24 is responding.
19:37: 52-2 is en route.
19:38: Engine 33-2 is responding.
19:39: Station 24 acknowledges the call.
19:40: C-33 is requesting PennDOT be notified that the entire roadway is blocked. He’s in the backlog now; he’ll provide an update once he’s on scene. Rescue 24 is responding.
19:41: 52-3 is also responding. C-33 is on scene confirming a camper rolled over blocking all of I-79; he’s out to assess injuries.
19:42: Control states PennDOT has been notified. 52-3 is to pull in behind the Command vehicle and leave room for EN-33-2.
19:43: EN-33-2 is to pull in line with the Command vehicle; there is a propane tank leaking they’ll need to take care of. Station 24 units are instructed to turn around at the 104 MM and come up the opposite way. Command is asking Cap-33 to setup flares and get southbound traffic off to Route 108.
19:45: Command is requesting PSP start Errera’s towing; extensive cleanup is needed and the camper needs towed. 52-3 can cancel; 52-2 remains on scene at this time.
19:46: EN-33-2 is on scene.
19:47: RQ-24 is to stay in line with C-24’s vehicle and set up lighting. Per Control, PennDOT expects a representative to arrive shortly.
19:48: EN-33 is to assist Cap-33 with getting traffic diverted onto Rt 108.
19:50: Cap-33 wants EN-33 to stage at the red light at Rt 108 to transfer traffic from there; Cap-33 is getting traffic off the interstate.
19:51: EN-33 and RQ-24 are on scene.
19:53: RQ-24 is being instructed to turn around, pointing southbound, in case of other incidents.
20:01: Cap-33 is working on getting traffic off the ramp; he states the backlog is as far as he can see, around the next bend.
20:39: Command is asking if the representative from PennDOT provided an ETA. Control states they only stated “shortly” at last contact. The supervisor may contact C-33 by phone.
20:44: 52-2 is clear of the interstate with 2 patient refusals.
21:09: All Station 24 units are back in service.
