18:11: SHOTS FIRED AT THE RALLY
ALL EMS PERSONNEL BEING RECALLED TO MEDICAL COMMAND.
18:13: THE FARM SHOW GROUNDS ARE BEING FULLY EVACUATED.
18:14: The facility is going on lockdown per Butler Control. An unidentified medical unit is being told to stand by with 2 patients (not believed to be from the shooting).
18:15: The security room is requesting a medic to the (back of the stage?). C-13 is reporting a GSW @ the stage. Patient will be transported directly to an ambulance unit; area is to be cleared.
18:16: UTV-10 is “engaging” on the stage; they need another UTV at the (stage area?). “ESU MEDIC TO THE STAGE.” 10-01 is advising Medical Command a UTV is needed at the satellite uplink; he’s advised there are UTVs en route. The scene sounds chaotic.
18:17: UTV-15 is responding with a medic. The Security Room is advising Medic Command he needs a medic unit to the left side of the stage for at least a 2nd GSW. It is not entirely clear how many patients there are at this point.
18:18: C-13 is asking Medic Command to have an ALS crew waiting for them; they’ll be transporting a patent to the main gate via UTV. The Security Room is asking MC if the main arrival/departure ALS unit has already been dispatched; the response is affirmative. 62-4 is advising Command they’re staged across Rt 68 from the Main Gate, if needed (I believe they had previously been dispatched for a patient at or near the Pizza Joe’s(?) unrelated to the shooting, and they cleared that with a refusal). The response is not clear.
18:19: 10-02 is advising MC of a “second” GSW by the County Command Center. EMS is needed at his location. They’re asking for a way to get through the crowd. 10-01 states he’s bringing UTV-10.
18:22: 99-21 reports he has 2 units en route and 1 standing by.
18:24: Engine 12 to set up to land a helicopter. Sounds like they’re landing in the back lot of the Grounds.
18:26: Someone is advising C-12-2 that they’re bringing in TWO AIRCRAFT. They’re requesting he move the truck. EN-12 is moving to handle the landing zone.
18:27: LF-3 and LF-4, both approximately 15 minutes. LF-3 already airborne out of Indiana County Airport.
18:28: LF-4 airborne from KBTP.
18:33: LF-4 is on the ground at the Farm Show.
18:36: TV news crews are being rushed off stage by Secret Service.
18:37: Butler Memorial Hospital is on FULL DIVERSION.
⚠️18:40: NBC News reports they heard the shooter is “down.”
18:41: LF-3 overhead.
18:43: LF-3 is on the ground.
18:45: EMS is being dispatched for a male in the vicinity with injury from jumping over a fence.
18:49: LF-4 is airborne toward Pittsburgh.
18:52: Medical units are being moved around now, responding to several various calls. No additional GSW reported.
18:53: Control is relaying to incident Command a report of a female down in a parking lot, unknown problem.
18:55: Command is advised there are SIX EMS units on standby for the immediate area. Command is requesting 1 respond in to handle the female down.
18:57: LF-3 is departing toward Pittsburgh.
19:01: All EMS agencies in the county are being advised by Butler Control that Butler Memorial Hospital is on FULL DIVERSION UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.
19:08: Per Command, there is no need for an additional medical aircraft.
19:20: A helicopter circling BMH since 19:09 is confirmed to be PSP.
19:24: One patient with PD at the stage, needs EMS evaluation. Unclear.
19:30: All units on standby are released.
20:00: North Hills SRT is requesting a medical unit from Command.
20:03: Control states the tactical team at AGR is requesting EMS assistance with a deceased individual.
20:11: The tactical team only requested a body bag. This is for the shooter.
