22:31: Stations 14 and 99 dispatched to 374 Palmer Road, Center Township, for a train derailment. A caller reports approximately 5 rail cars are rolled over. Control is attempting to contact the railroad now. Station 14 acknowledges the call.
22:32: 99-5 is assigned to the call and en route.
22:34: Cap-14 is responding to the scene. C-14-2 is asking if there was any info on the type of cars. Control states negative; they’re on the line with the rail company attempting to get more information. The best access will be from Henrick’s Rd, behind Bob’s Auto Salvage.
22:35: Control is advising C-14 that they are reporting it to the railroad company now; they were not aware of the incident yet. They are still gathering info. RQ-14 is responding.
22:36: C-14 is asking if rail traffic has been stopped and if there are injuries; Control states they’re still on the line and reiterates the railroad was not aware of it prior to the 911 report. Still unknown injuries and unknown types of cars. They are attempting to stop other rail traffic.
22:37: 99-7 is advising C-14 to access of Henrick’s and reports it appears to be fuel tank cars rolled over; unsure if anything is leaking right now.
22:38: C-14 is on scene establishing Command. 99-5 is also arriving.
22:39: Control states the railroad is checking with the local rail master to get more info and there are no other active trains in the area. C-14 is speaking with railyard workers now. There was no breach; all tanks are empty. There are no injuries.
22:40: EN-14-2 is responding.
22:41: Command is now releasing EN-14-2.
22:42: 99-5 is back in service; cleared by FD. Command states all units are back in service; this will be handled by the railroad.
