10:21: En-1-2 is requesting the second alarm activation. Station 3 is being toned out for a full assist and all City shifts are alerted.
10:22: En-1 is directing En-1-2 to come in from Pleasant View, but they just turned onto Heim. En-1 is on scene with a 2½-story single-family residential with smoke showing; they are out, stretching a line.

10:24: Station 10 is being activated.

10:26: Someone currently at the hydrant is asking if En-1 is ready for water; they’re being told to send it.
10:27: En-1 has emergency traffic and is reporting a faulty electrical panel “popping off real bad”; the electric company is needed ASAP. Control is being advised to contact the utilities.
10:28: Station 10 acknowledges the call.
10:29: En-1-2 is asking Control to see if West Penn Power can “shut down the power in this general direction.” Control states he’s on the line with them now.
10:31: LR-3 is approaching. En-1 is instructed to charge the line.

10:39: Command reports increasing amount of smoke pushing out of the attic on side Charlie. Division 2 crews are to inspect the attic.
10:41: Control is advising Command of the 20 minute benchmark. Command reports they are operating in offensive mode, the fire is mostly knocked down, they are just waiting for the power company to de-energize the structure and checking for extension. Control states West Penn Power is working on the remote disconnect with a crew expected in the standard 1-2 hours.
10:42: Command requests the power company be asked to expedite as there was reportedly a crew in the area already; they are needed for a physical disconnect.

10:45: Crews are now reporting extension into the 2nd Division.
10:46: Command is advising interior crews of heavier smoke pushing out of an attic vent on side Alpha.
10:47: En-10 is en route to Station 1. Control states the power company had a crew passing by and is now expected in less than 10 minutes.
10:49: Interior crews are being advised of heavier smoke still pushing out; additional crews are ready to relieve them when needed.
10:58: Command is advising Division 1 crews that the power has been disconnected.
10:59: Command is advising Control that the fire is under control, and the power company is on scene. They are working on overhaul and ventilation.
11:00: Interior crews state they are OK to begin ventilation.
11:01: En-10 is at Station 1.
11:02: Division 2 crews are advising Command they’ve made access to the attic and still have smoke coming out from (something?). A line is needed to the attic.
11:17: Crews are still reporting a light haze in the attic and are asking for more positive pressure up there. The CO levels are good on Divisions 1 and 2, and Command is OK to start breaking down one of the lines but is to leave the other for now.
11:22: EMS is asking if they are still needed and are asked to standby a few more minutes.
11:49: Command is requesting Control notify the PSP fire marshal.
