03:13: Stations 21, 51, 22, and 42, along with Squad 98, dispatched for an MVA with rollover near the 81.6 mile marker of I-79 northbound in Cranberry Township. A tractor-trailer, which appears to be hauling wood, rolled over on the right side of the road, and possibly struck an additional tractor-trailer.
03:14: 51-3 and SQ-98 are en route.
03:15: Captain 21-2 is responding. Station 22 acknowledges the call. Rescue 42 is en route.
03:16: Rescue 21 is responding.
03:18: Units are advised by Control there is 1 occupant out of one of the vehicles, bleeding from the arm; the other driver may be entrapped (they are unable to confirm); and one of the trucks is a tanker which is reportedly empty.
03:20: Cap-21-2 is on scene stating 1 tanker truck on the shoulder and the overturned truck is on the right side shoulder.
03:22: Command is reporting NEGATIVE ENTRAPMENT; all occupants are out of the vehicles. The incident is being held to Station 21 only.
03:23 RQ-21 is at the 81 MM requesting orders; they are to pull off on the shoulder and block the first lane. There is debris and they’re beginning to inspect the vehicles. RQ-21 is now reporting on scene.
03:25: 51-3 is to approach the overturned truck; the driver is near it. C-21 is advising the other driver is also complaining of chest pain. 51-3 is now reporting on location.
03:42: SQ-98 is back in service from the scene.
03:46: 51-3 states one driver has refused EMS, and the other is being transported now.
03:47: 51-3 is en route to AGH.
04:04: Command is terminated; FD units are clear except FP who are remaining on scene with one lane closed for an extended period. PSP has requested PennDOT for traffic control.
