08:53: Stations 3, 38 and 99 dispatched to 4217 Highland Avenue in Butler Township for a passerby report that a tractor-trailer struck a utility pole and the pole is leaning and wires are sparking.
08:55: EN-38 is en route.
08:56: 99-3 is responding. Control is checking for acknowledgment from Station 3 or Chief 3 with no response.
08:57: Second alert for Station 3 and Chief 3. Chief 3-3 acknowledges the call.
08:59: Stations 3 and 3-2 acknowledge the call, each with 1 firefighter on station.
09:00: EN-38 is on scene stating the pole is leaning and the tractor-trailer is blocking the roadway.
09:03: Rescue 3-2 is en route. Control states PD are notifying West Penn Power. Engine 3 is also responding.
09:04: EN-3 is on location.
09:05: RQ-3-2 is on scene.
09:07: Brush 3 and Rescue 3 are en route. 99-3 is on location.
09:09: 99-3 is back in service, canceled on scene by Command.
09:13: EN-38 is back in service.
09:14: Per Control, the power company has been notified and gave an ETA of 1 hour.
09:19: Command is stating the pole is damaged, the power company can come out whenever they need to, but Armstrong Cable is needed to disassemble the wire so the truck can be moved. Command can cut it, but they’re leaving the decision to Armstrong.
09:22: Per Control, Armstrong will have someone right out there.
09:44: Command is terminated; all units are back in service.
