ATV Rollover: Weiland Rd @ Old State Rd

13:24: Stations 26 and 44 dispatched for an ATV rollover near the intersection of Weiland Road and Old State Road in Concord Township. There is a 17 y/o female with a head injury.

13:25: Stations 44 and 26 acknowledge the call.

13:26: 44-2 is responding. Station 26 is asking if the ATV is/was on the roadway and is advised the ATV reportedly rolled down a hill. Control is advising 44-2 there is no word on the extent of injury.

13:27: Control is now advising that the individual is conscious and bleeding from the head. 99-21 is offering assistance and 44-2 is asking him to proceed in and they can cancel him if necessary.

13:28: Rescue 26 is en route.

13:29: 99-21 is now reporting en route.

13:33: Engine 26-1 is responding.

13:36: 44-2 is first on scene reporting the ATV is partially on the hillside and the patient has self-extricated.

13:37: RQ-26 is advised they’ll need to stabilize the ATV.

13:38: 44-2 is now checking the availability of air medical. Control is asking where the landing zone will be setup. 44-2 is asking they check the availability of a helicopter at this time and he’ll advise on the LZ.

13:40: 99-21 is instructing Control to put a helicopter in the air if they’re available; Control states both services are checking weather.

13:42: Per Control, LifeFlight 4 will be inbound with a 13 minute ETA. Command is requesting they use Zion Church Road at the church cemetery for the LZ. EN-26 is turning around to handle the landing zone.

13:43: SQ-26 is instructed to assist EN-26 with the LZ.

13:46: EN-26 is out at the landing zone.

13:49: LF-4 is airborne from the Butler Airport.

13:54: The pilot is contacting the ground crew for the LZ briefing.

13:55: 44-2 is transporting to the LZ now.

13:57: The ground crew is reporting visual on the aircraft but the pilot is still searching for them; he does have visual on the ambulance.

13:58: LF-4 is still searching for the LZ and circling.

13:59: The pilot states he is following the ambulance in and will orbit to land.

14:01: 44-2 is out at the landing zone. EN-26 is reporting the aircraft has landed.

14:16: EN-26 reports LF-4 is airborne to Children’s Hospital.

14:18: Control is advising 44-2 they have 2 calls pending in their area; 44-2 reports they will be out of service and the calls will have to go to backup.

14:33: Command terminated; Station 26 units are back in service.
