Male Under Tree: Country Club Rd

13:39: Stations 13 and 99 for a male stuck under a tree with injury, 247 North Rd, Franklin Twp.

13:40: 99-4 is assigned and responding, asking for a medical helicopter to be placed on standby.

13:42: Control is now stating the address will be 347 North Road.

13:43: Chief 13 is responding. He is asking to confirm the patient is still under the tree and Control states that is correct.

13:44: C-13 is requesting Rescue 14. Station 14 is alerted. Control is advising Stat 3 is on standby with a 12 minute ETA.

13:47: C-13 is discussing the caller’s phone ping coordinates; Station 14 units are being instructed to use a different approach.

13:49: RQ-14 is en route. 99-4 is stating they have not located anything at this time; there is apparently some discrepancy between the caller’s phone ping and the dispatched address.

13:52: C-14 is on location at 7162 Country Club Road.

13:53: RQ-14 is on scene. Patient contact has been made now and 7162 Country Club is the best access.

13:54: 99-4 is also on location at this time. Control is asking C-13 where to use as the LZ; EMS has possibly requested the aircraft in the air (unclear). They will use the field right behind 7162. EN-13 instructed to bring a chainsaw back.

13:55: Control is now advising the responding helicopter will be LifeFlight 4 with an 11 minute ETA.

13:56: LF-4 is airborne from their base at the Butler Airport.

13:59: EN-14 is being instructed to establish the LZ.

14:00: The pilot is reporting 1 minute out from the south at this time.

14:01: The ground crew is reporting the helicopter is directly overhead.

14:02: The pilot states he has a visual on the LZ and is making 1 more orbit and then will be on approach from east to west.

14:05: LF-4 is marked on the ground at the landing zone.

14:30: There have been no further updates from the scene, and the helicopter remains on the ground at the LZ.

14:34: LF-4 is now departing to UPMC Presbyterian. Stations 13 and 14 are back in service.

14:52: LF-4 is arriving on the helipad at UPMC Presby.

14:56: The helicopter is departing Presby.

14:58: LF-4 is now arriving at the helipad at Allegheny General Hospital. It is unclear to which facility the patient was actually transferred.
