16:16: Stations 11 and 99 dispatched for an MVA with possible entrapment at the intersection of Pittsburgh Road and Airport Road in Penn Township. Chief 11-3 is reporting he is on location already.
16:17: C-11-3 is asking Control to notify police that there is a male on foot believed to have fled the scene and is walking up the driveway to the Succop Nature Park. Described as a male in his early 50s with a bloody face. 99-3 is responding; Station 11 acknowledges the call.
16:19: Station 99 is now being advised by Control that Pittsburgh Road Command has requested three ambulances; 99-4 and 99-5 are now assigned.
16:20: 99-5 is en route.
16:21: 99-4 is responding.
16:22: Rescue 11 is responding; Command is advising them to assist with traffic control. Command is reporting all occupants are out of the vehicles. 99-4 is approaching and is advised two patients are in the grass for them.
16:23: 99-4 is stating this is just south of the intersection, near the Mansion.
16:24: 99-4 is asking Control to check the availability of LifeFlight 4 at their base at Butler Airport; he has 1 patient for air evacuation. Control is asking if they are to prepare or to standby. 99-4 is stating he wants them “in the air” status if they are available at the airport.
16:25: Squad 11 is en route. 99-3 is approaching; they’re only instructed to pull up behind the other ambulance and are now reporting on location.
16:26: S-11 is approaching and requesting orders.
16:27: Control is advising that LF-4 is unavailable but Stat MedEvac will have a helicopter at the Butler Airport in 5 minutes. At this time, the Stat helicopter based out of Youngstown appears to be returning to their base from UPMC Cranberry.
16:28: The helicopter has rerouted toward the Butler Airport now.
16:38: Stat is arriving at the airport.
16:41: 99-3 is transporting to Butler Memorial Hospital, BLS.
16:47: 99-5 has now been assigned to the Whitestown Road MVA and is responding to that.
16:55: 99-4 is reporting his patient is being airlifted to Allegheny General Hospital.
16:56: Stat is airborne from the Butler Airport.
16:57: 99-3 is out at BMH.
16:59: 99-21 is asking 45-3 which way they’re coming in and they state they’re approaching from Dinnerbell Road. 99-21 is instructing them to pull in front of R-11 and 99-21 will walk the patient back to 45-3.
17:02: 99-21 is now advising 45-3 they can cancel their response to this crash — 99-4 is clearing from the airport and will handle the remaining patient(s).
17:07: The helicopter is arriving at the AGH helipad in Pittsburgh.
17:12: 99-21 is clear of the scene.
17:15: 99-3 is back in service.
17:25: 99-4 is out at Butler Memorial — it is unclear when they left the scene.
17:27: Command terminated; Station 11 is back in service.
