16:03: Stations 19, 90, 76 dispatched for a possible structure fire at 327 Forsythe Road in Adams Township; smoke coming from an attic.
16:04: Chiefs 21-2 and 19 are responding.
16:05: Engine 21-2, Tower 42, and 76-4 are en route.
16:07: 76-1 is now responding in place of 76-4.
16:08: An unidentified unit is asking Control to confirm the address of 327 Forsythe Road.
16:09: Ladder 22 is responding.
16:10: C-19 is asking Control to confirm if this is the Forsythe Rd in Adams Twp, not the one in Middlesex Twp. Control states this was 3rd party info and they’re attempting to gather more info. All units are downgraded to non-emergency. There is a unit stating they are staging at Fordham Lane until they figure out what’s going on.
16:11: Control is now advising the correct address will be 237 Forsythe Rd, not 327 as dispatched. T-42 is on scene there with a 2½-story residential single-family dwelling and nothing showing from 3 sides of the exterior. They are out to investigate and Captain 42-2 has Command for the time being. Control states the updated address calls for Allegheny Stations 185 and 228 and is asking if they are needed; Cap-42-2 advises to hold off.
16:13: E-19 is on scene and is instructed to stage. An unidentified unit is cut off by Control but is stating “no fire.” C-21-2 is on location.
16:14: A unit is asking if they are to continue in non-emergency; Command states affirmative, there is no sign of smoke or fire in the residence, but there is a slight smell of fuel oil. All units are still to continue in, non-emergency.
16:15: Command is now canceling all incoming units not on scene.
16:16: Control is asking Command if there is any need for EMS; he states negative, they can return in service.
16:19: C-21-2 is back in service.
16:35: Command is terminated; problem has been isolated to the furnace.
