MVA w/ Injury: Prospect Rd near Moraine

08:54: Stations 13 and 99 dispatched for an MVA with injury on Prospect Road near the Moraine bridge. One male complaining of a leg injury.

08:55: 99-5 is assigned and en route.

08:56: Chief 13 acknowledges.

09:00: 99-5 is requesting the availability of the nearest helicopter and is requesting them on standby. Engine 13 is responding.

09:04: Control states Stat 8 is on airborne standby with a 13 minute ETA to the scene. E-13 is on scene reporting 2 vehicles spread pretty far apart with at least one occupant still in a vehicle. Chief 13 has Command.

09:05: Chief 13 is confirming entrapment and is requesting Rescue 14 and Engine 33.

09:06: Stations 14 and 33 are toned out. Station 14 acknowledges.

09:07: Brush 13 is on scene. Station 33 acknowledges the call with 1 firefighter on station. Chief 14 is en route to his station.

09:10: This is north of the overpass.

09:11: C-14 is asking if they would be best to come in off 422, and they are advised to come in from W. Liberty. Command is marking extrication complete. 99-5 is advised there is 1 male with a leg injury and 1 female for evaluation.

09:12: Command is asking E-33-2 if they are already en route; they state just about. E-33-2 is now canceled by Command.

09:13: Rescue 14 is en route.

09:14: 99-5 is canceling the request for air medical. Command is now advising Station 14 there is sufficient manpower on scene and they can return in service.

09:17: Command is asking 99-5’s location; they are approaching from 528 now.

09:18: 99-5 is reporting on scene.

09:24: Additional manpower is available but Command states they are sufficient at this time. Traffic control is ongoing.

09:49: 99-5 is reporting inbound to BMH with 2 patients from the incident.

10:28: Command terminated; all units are back in service.
