17:04: Control is asking Station 1 units if they are available for an MVA with no injuries at the intersection of West Birch and South Church Streets in Butler City. A vehicle struck a gas meter and there is an odor in the area. Engine 1-2 and Tower 1 are en route from the Cleveland Cliffs fire.
17:05: E-1-2 is asking for the gas company to be sent as well.
17:06: E-1-2 is on scene reporting the meter is sheared off; they are going to try to shut it off as best they can. Control is still on the phone with the utility now.
17:08: Control states People’s Gas has been notified; they were not able to provide an ETA but are dispatching it as an emergency response.
17:09: E-1-2 reports the meter has been shut off.
17:16: E-1 is asking E-1-2 if they are needed at this scene and they are not.
17:22: E-1-2 is back in service; T-1 remains on scene.
17:31: T-1 is checking for an ETA from People’s Gas. Control states none was available, only that they had to call in a crew and were requesting an urgent response.
