16:15: Engine 1, Tower 1, and Ladder 3 are en route.
16:16: Chief 3-3 is en route to the scene.
16:17: Tanker 3 is responding.
16:19: Chief 3-2 is on scene with smoke showing from the exterior. L-3 is approaching, requesting orders. They are to pull in around the building to where the fire in the crane was for a previous call.
16:20: Chief 3 and L-3 are on location. City units are approaching. L-3 is to hook into the hydrant. E-1 is to stage behind L-3.
16:21: E-1 is on location. Command is requesting the 2nd alarm activation and those units standby at the Route 8 gate.
16:22: Stations 11, 10, 9 and 15 are added to the call. L-3 and E-1 are instructed to send their manpower to the door; Command needs a 1½” line off the Engine.
16:23: Station 11 and Chief 9 acknowledge the call.
16:24: Chief 11 is responding. Chiefs 15 and 10-2 are en route to their stations.
16:25: Chief 1 is requesting all city shifts be recalled. Station 15 acknowledges.
16:26: Off-duty City crews are activated for the call. Squad 3 is en route. Rescue 3 and Tanker 3 are approaching; they are to proceed into the scene and stage out of the way behind one of the buildings.
16:27: Staging is in front of L-3, and C-3 has Command. Rescue 11 is en route.
16:28: “Give me water.” Someone is asking E-54 if they are ready for water, and they are.
16:30: Engine 10 is en route. Command is instructing all units not in the mill area are to standby at the Rt 8 gates to await further orders.
16:31: Ladder 15 is responding.
16:32: S-3 is on location at the staging location.
16:33: Engine 15-2 is en route.

16:35: R-11 is at the gates. Control states the full 2nd alarm is either en route or out at staging.

17:03: There have been no further updates on the scanner. The helicopter for WPXI has arrived over the scene.
17:04: Butler City units are departing for an MVA.
17:07: An engine operator is being asked to reduce their pressure.
17:12: E-1 and Chief 1 are back in service.
17:20: The news helicopter is leaving the area to the south.
17:28: WTAE’s Sky4 helicopter is approaching from the south.
17:39: Command is terminated; Station 3 units are back in service.
17:44: Chief 54-2 is asking if the entire 1st alarm has cleared the scene; Control states they have.
