Tree/Wires Down: Baglier, Route 8

04:15: Stations 3 and 1 dispatched for a fire alarm at 248 Pittsburgh Road in Butler Township, Baglier Buick GMC. Control also states there are reports of a blown transformer near the intersection.

04:16: Station 3-2 acknowledges the call.

04:18: Captain 3 is en route to the scene. Engine 1 is responding.

04:19: Control is updating responding units that police are in the area reporting there is a tree on wires, on fire, with wires down, behind Baglier. Ladder 3 is responding.

04:20: Cap-3 is asking Control if West Penn Power has been notified to respond to the scene; he states affirmative.

04:22: L-3 is approaching, requesting orders; Cap-3 states she will be on scene momentarily.

04:23: Cap-3 is on scene stating this will be behind Baglier, possibly on McCalmont Road (audio was choppy). L-3 is on location as well.

04:25: E-1 is approaching, requesting orders; they’re instructed to enter Forest Heights from Route 8 and block the other side of the intersection.

04:27: E-1 is on scene.

04:29: Squad 3-2 is en route.

04:34: L-3 operator is advising Cap-3 there are live electrical wires on the fence line and there is a small fire between the fence line and something that was cut out.

04:35: S-3-2 is on location.

04:37: Command is asking Control if they have an ETA for the crew from West Penn Power and is advised they do not have one yet. Cap-3 is asking Control to notify them there is a power line down on a few cars and there is smoldering.

04:44: Cap-3 states she is going to have S-3 relieve E-1.

05:02: Control is now advising Command the crew from WPP has an ETA of 30-60 minutes; she is asking to confirm they have been advised of the hazards and is told they have.

05:46: E-1 is advising Cap-3 that the power company crew has arrived on scene.

05:47: E-1 is asking Cap-3 for someone to move L-3.

06:07: E-1 is released by Command.

07:15: Command terminated; Station 3 is back in service. The utility crew remains on scene.
