MVA: Rt 228 W @ Park Rd

06:34: Stations 16, 42, and 76 along with Allegheny 241 dispatched for an MVA with unknown injuries, Route 228 W @ Park Rd.

06:35: Squad 98 is added to the call.

06:36: S-98 and Chief 16 are responding.

06:37: Rescue 42 is responding understaffed.

06:40: 76-3 is on location.

06:42: S-98 is canceled by 76-3.

06:43: R-42 is arriving and reports 1 vehicle blocking both lanes of the roadway. Route 228 will be closed temporarily. Captain 42-2 will hold Command until a Station 16 officer arrives; C-16 is reporting on location now.

06:49: C-16 is requesting the school be notified of the road closure; Control states police already called in advising of that. C-16 also states this is a 2-vehicle MVA with 1 being a semi.

06:51: C-16 is advising the Fire Police Captain to start sending traffic down Park Road; the road will be closed for awhile.

07:11: C-16 is asking R-42 to relay to Allegheny 241 to come to where the wrecked semi truck is to begin one-lane traffic.

07:16: Fire Police are now advised one-lane traffic is starting.

07:28: 76-3 is en route to UPMC Cranberry.

07:31: Control is advising C-16 that PD are requesting they keep westbound traffic flowing at this time to get the tow truck there.

07:37: Fire Police are advising C-16 the tow truck is inbound now.

07:38: FP are instructed to shut the road down.

07:39: Command is asking Control to relay to PD that the tow truck is coming through and the road is being closed for it now.

07:40: Control is advising C-16 that PD state traffic can continue to alternate now.

07:46: Allegheny units are stating they keep having cars sneak in and they’re not sure where they’re coming from; traffic is being held on the other side by Station 16 FP.

07:55: 76-3 is out at the hospital.

08:25: Command terminated; all units are back in service and traffic is flowing normally.
