16:33: Stations 21 and 51 dispatched for a vehicle on the side of I-79 northbound on fire. The driver is out. This is in the area of the Lindsay Road exit.
16:34: Chiefs 21-2 and 21 are responding. Engine 42 states they are staffed if needed.
16:35: E-42-2 is added to the call.
16:36: Engine 21-2 is responding. Chief 22 is en route stating Tanker 22 will be en route soon also.
16:37: Chief 21 is advising 42 units to standby to cover calls; Control has advised this is in Jackson Township, Station 22’s area, and they are not sure why the system recommended Cranberry units. T-22 is now en route. Control is asking if Station 22 needs to be alerted and C-22 states to do so.
16:38: Stations 22 and 62 are alerted for the call.
16:39: C-21 is on scene with an F-250 on the shoulder in Cranberry Township; all units are to continue in, there is a fire in the engine compartment. The occupants are confirmed out of the vehicle.
16:40: 62-6 is responding. C-21-2 is confirming nothing located at the 83 MM northbound. 62-6 now states they will standby at their station.
16:41: Command is now stating the correct location is the 80.8 mile marker (near the North Boundary Road bridge) and the fire is in the cab of the vehicle.
16:42: Engine 21 is responding. E-21-2 is approaching; they are to pull behind the vehicle and lay a line.
16:43: Command states they have the fire in the cab out with a water can; units are to continue in to check the engine.
16:45: C-21-2 is on scene.
16:49: T-22 and E-21 are approaching the scene. Command is stating any fire units not on scene can return in service.
17:16: C-21 is advising Fire Police units that a tow truck heading SB is probably theirs and will need to turn around; they’re instructed to get him through as quickly as possible.
17:33: Fire Police are advised by C-21 they can go home.
17:37: I-79 Command is terminated.
