MVA, Rollover, I-79 SB @ 90 MM

18:58: Stations 22 and 62 dispatched for a caller report of a vehicle on its roof near the 90 mile marker of I-79 southbound. This is just north of the Jackson – Lancaster line in Lancaster Township.

Harmony FD and EMS dispatched for a rollover on I-79.

18:59: Station 22 acknowledges. Chief 22-2 and 62-4 are responding.

19:00: Rescue 22 is en route.

19:02: Responding units are now alerted that an additional call reports a male patient is out of the vehicle, unresponsive but breathing; there are no other occupants.

19:03: 62-2 is clear of a previous call and is responding to the interstate as well.

19:04: C-22-2 is on scene confirming a pickup truck on its roof.

19:06: R-22 is on scene. Engine 22 is responding. 92-4 is also on scene now.

19:07: Tanker 22 is responding. Captain 22-2 is telling Command to put an aircraft in the air to the scene.

19:09: The request for a helicopter has now been relayed to Control.

19:11: 62-2 is advised to turn around at the 90 mile marker; the scene is right at the bend.

19:12: T-22 is to setup in the slow lane and move traffic into the left lane; they are now reporting on scene.

19:13: E-22 is to position behind the tanker and continue to move traffic to the left lane. Control is advising LF-4 has an 11 minute ETA; they are at their home base at the Butler Airport currently.

19:15: 62-2 is approaching.

19:17: 62-2 is on scene.

19:19: Command is asking for Station 24 to shut down the southbound lanes at Route 488.

19:20: Station 24 is alerted for the call.

19:21: Control advises PennDOT has also been notified. Station 24 acknowledges the call. LF-4 is leaving the airport now.

19:22: Control is advising LF-4 should be there in approximately 5 minutes.

19:24: LF-4 is requesting their landing zone briefing, reporting 3 minutes out from the southeast. Command states they are waiting on confirmation the interstate is closed.

19:25: Rescue 24 is responding. Traffic is to be diverted north at the emergency turnaround.

19:26: Brush 24 is responding. Units on scene instructed to turn off white lights for the aircraft.

19:27: LF-4 is overhead of the scene now.

19:28: LF-4 is checking if they are clear to land yet and advised to standby. Command is now advising the pilot the roadway is shutdown now.

19:31: LifeFlight is reported on the ground.

19:31: R-24 is on scene.

19:34: Control states that a PennDOT crew is en route.

19:45: The last southbound vehicle is now diverting northbound. LF-4 is reported en route to AGH.

19:58: 62-4 is clear of the scene.

19:59: LF-4 is at Allegheny General Hospital.

20:17: Command is advised a PennDOT crew has arrived on scene and they also have personnel going to Route 488.

20:23: E-22 and T-22 are instructed by Command to start cleaning up cones and flares, once the pickup is loaded up, FD units will be able to clear.

20:36: R-24 is being advised to open the interstate.

20:37: All fire units are reported clear of the scene.

20:38: B-24 is back in service.

20:39: R-24 is now back in service as well.
