15:45: Stations 90, 22, 12 and 62 dispatched to 109 Conica Lane in Jackson Township. A caller reports seeing smoke from the outside corner of the building. 62-6 is responding.
15:46: Chiefs 22 and 21-2 are en route. Tower 42 is responding.
15:47: Chief 12 is en route to his station.
15:51: Command states smoke is coming from exhaust vents on 2 sides, unknown source, building is unoccupied.
15:54: First due engine to lay 200′ attack line.
16:06: Interior units have now confirmed active fire, working on extinguishment now.
16:09: Initial fire is knocked down.
16:22: Command advising interior units they must have breathing equipment; one container that was on fire inside has hydrogen cyanide. Team 100 is now requested.
16:24: Team 100 is activated for the call.
16:28: Second alert for Team 100.
16:28: Fire isolated to burn room and outside by Tower 42. Units are in overhaul mode.
16:30: Command is running PAR checks. All units are checking in with PAR.
16:33: All units are advised Command has a warming station setup.
16:46: Command is advising Control they are out of units in staging due to decontamination, asking for a 2nd alarm activation.
16:47: Stations 24, 13 and 3 are added to the call.
16:50: Station 24 is asking Chief 22 which apparatus he wants and he states they just need manpower at this point. Engine 13 is responding.
16:51: Tanker 3 is en route. Traffic controllers are stating the HAZMAT Team 100 crew is coming in now.
16:52: Engine 24 is responding. Additional Team 100 units are reporting en route now.
16:53: Command is ordering a full evacuation of firefighters from the structure at this point; removal of the product will be up to the HAZMAT team at this time.
16:57: Command states the evacuation order is all firefighters and civilian personnel.
17:01: Tanker 13 is responding. E-3 is on scene at the staging point.
17:02: E-13 is on scene.
17:04: E-24 is out at the staging location.
17:06: T-3 is reporting on scene.
17:07: 51-2 is approaching.
17:08: 51-2 is now reporting on scene.
17:12: Squad 100 is approaching, requesting orders, instructed to proceed to the Command post. They are now reporting on scene.
17:13: T-22 is instructed by Command to shut down the main attack line; it is being removed from the structure currently.
17:14: Command states the HAZMAT team has assessed the situation and will leave the chemicals for a clean-up company to handle. They are getting more information for proper DECON procedures for all equipment now.
17:16: T-13 is at the staging location.
17:18; FP units state a health and safety representative from the business is on scene now.
17:21: Command is now releasing tankers with the exception of Tankers 19 and a unit from 26.
17:24: Engine 2301 is reporting out on standby at Station 22.
17:35: The DECON Station is asking Command if they are good to breakdown, he states he is waiting for one more.
17:37: Command is now advising that the chemical was possibly not what they thought it was(?); all equipment can be washed in soap and water. Units that have been processed through DECON are being released.
17:43: Chief 21-2 is advising FP units they are beginning to pack up now. All Station 12 units are in service and returning to station. Tanker 13 is back in service.
17:47: Team 100, Station 12 units, and E-13 are back in service.
17:48: Tanker 19 is back in service.
17:52: Station 3 units are clearing the scene.
17:53: Fire Police are opening 1 lane of traffic at this time.
17:56: Tanker 20 is returning to station.
17:57: 62-6 is back in service.
17:59: Fire Police are instructed to fully reopen the roadway now.
18:03: Conica Command reports all units are clear of the scene; Station 22 remains out of service for additional decontamination.
