18:47: Station 21 dispatched for a general smoke alarm at the UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex, 8000 Cranberry Springs Drive, Cranberry Township, in the Penguins Training Center.

18:48: Chief 21 is responding and requesting Stations 42 and 19 be added to the call. A unit on scene is reporting audible and visual alarms active in the rink. It is not clear if they are stating there is smoke in the interior.

18:49: Stations 42 and 19 are activated. While being activated, Chief 21 also requested a Station 90 response.

18:50: Tower 42 is en route, Chief 21 is on scene reporting nothing showing from 2 sides of the exterior, evacuation is in progress. Engine 42-2 is responding.

18:51: Engine 19 is en route. Station 90 structure fire response is activated; the dispatch is now indicating smoke in the interior.

18:52: 51-2 is en route.

18:53: Command is now stating smoke on the Alpha/Bravo side of the exterior, requesting the 2nd alarm. Ladder 22 is en route.

18:54: Engine 21-3 is en route.

18:55: Station 20 acknowledges the call.

18:56: Allegheny 228 has a unit en route.

18:57: Engine 42-2 is the first due engine, on scene. 228 Truck en route. Tower 42 is on scene. Command states the 360 inspection is complete.

18:58: Smoke on the Bravo/Charlie side – unclear if exterior or interior. Command is requesting an EMS unit to the scene.

18:59: Engine 21-3 is on scene at a hydrant.

19:00: Station 76 and 98 added to the call. Engine 19 is on scene.

19:02: 51-2 is on scene setting up rehab.

19:03: 228 Truck is arriving.

19:05: Ladder 22 is on scene. 228 Truck is now reporting on scene.

19:06: Chief 19 has Interior Operations.

19:09: Operations is advising Command of a possible fire in the vents. 228 Engine 2 is on scene.

19:10: Operations is now stating there is some charring on vents on the 2nd division. Chief 42-2 is on scene.

19:12: Squad 98 is on scene. 228 Truck crew is instructed to proceed to the roof on the Charlie/Delta corner.

19:18: Roof units report they have located an overheated motor on a rooftop unit; it is secured at this time. Interior units are confirming a smoke condition at this time.

19:19: Captain 42 states Engine Company 247 is transferring into their quarters for standby. Command is advising the situation has been isolated to a fire in the HVAC system, and if any other units go or are en route, they can be canceled.

19:28: Squad 98 is back in service from this incident.

19:30: 51-2 is asking Command if they are still needed; Command is asking them if they have water with them, but they do not.

19:31: 51-2 is available.

19:33: Units are stating they are going to begin packing up.

19:34: Command is advising any units that need rehab there is water at the command post now.

19:38: Traffic control units are stating it looks like parents are arriving for the children’s care center nearby.

19:44: Allegheny 228 units are being advised they are released by Command.

19:54: Traffic control is stating there is no one in the Children’s Express building now and people are being redirected to a different facility.

19:58: Rescue 20 is clear of the scene and en route to standby at Station 21.

20:04: Ladder 22 is back in service.

20:09: Station 42 units are clear of this incident.

20:10: Station 19 units are back in service.

20:11: Cranberry Springs Drive Command is terminated; all fire units are back in service.
