01:38: Station 64 alerted for a Delta response to 1685 Perry Highway in Muddy Creek Township for a 79 year old female fall patient with head injury and altered level of consciousness.
01:42: Second alert for Station 64 due to no acknowledgment.
01:43: Station 62 is alerted to cover the call.
01:45: 62-2 is en route.
01:53: Control is advising 62-2 the caller called back and is now reporting the patient is unresponsive with shallow breathing.
01:54: 62-2 is requesting Squad 98 be added to the call. Squad 98 is alerted.
01:55: Squad 98 is en route. Patient is reportedly now vomiting and caller is attempting to move the patient off of her chair.
01:57: Caller was reportedly unable to get the patient to the floor but was able to lean her forward.
01:59: 62-2 is on scene requesting an ETA from Squad 98. Squad 98 is just coming into Jackson Township and reports a 7-10 minute ETA.
02:02: 62-2 is advising Squad 98 that GPS took them about 3 miles before the actual address.
02:13: 62-2 is checking on Squad 98’s location; he is on Perry Highway now in Muddy Creek Township.
02:14: 62-2 is asking Control to check if air medical is available in Cranberry.
02:15: Control is advising 62-2 “negative” but 62-2 is still requesting air medical. Stat 3 appears to have returned to their base as of 02:52 on the 17th but may not have a crew available.
02:16: Squad 98 is stating the LZ at Portersville Fire Station should be utilized. Squad 98 is now on scene.
02:17: Control is advising both units that Stat 3 is not available at UPMC Cranberry, but Stat 6 (normally out of the Clarion Airport) will be at the Cranberry helipad in 2 minutes per Stat MedEvac dispatch. This aircraft departed Allegheny County Airport at 02:06 and has diverted toward Cranberry at this time. 62-2 is requesting the aircraft divert to Portersville.
02:18: Station 24 is alerted to handle the landing zone at their station.
02:19: Control is advising Stat 6 gave an 11 minute ETA to Station 24; they are already airborne.
02:20: Station 24 acknowledges the call. The helicopter was passing just west of the intersection of Babcock Boulevard and Wexford Road in Pine Township, Allegheny County, but has now redirected toward Portersville.
02:26: Stat 6 is requesting the LZ brief from the Station 24 ground crew. They are passing over I-79 now just north of the Jackson / Lancaster Township line.
02:28: The pilot is instructing the ground crew to advise when they have a visual due to low visibility. LZ 24 is advising they have visual contact now.
02:32: Portersville units report Stat 6 is on the ground at their station.
02:47: Station 24 reports Stat is in the air and they are back in service.
02:49: 62-2 is reporting clear of the incident.
03:05: Stat 6 is arriving at the helipad at UPMC Presbyterian in Pittsburgh.
