House Fire, Acre Ave, Butler Twp.

21:03: Station 3 alerted for a smoke investigation near 215 Acre Avenue; caller reports a strong smell of smoke in the area.

21:07: Station 3 units report they are in the area now.

21:08: Structure fire response requested after an additional call reports a house on fire near 214 Acre Ave. Stations 3, 38, and 99 activated.

Control is now advising they have received a report of a house fire.

21:09: Engine 38 en route. Engine 3 reporting a confirmed working fire. Chief 3 is en route.

21:11: Engine 3 advising neighbors believe there may be 1 individual inside.

21:12: Acre Avenue Command is requesting West Penn Power attempt a remote shutoff. Command believes this is 214 Acre Avenue.

21:13: Rescue 3-2 is en route.

21:15: Chief 3-2 on location.

21:16: West Penn Power is notified for the remote shutoff.

21:17: All incoming units are instructed to stage on the roadway and send their manpower to the scene. Rescue 3-2 on scene.

21:18: Engine 3 is instructed to open up the hydrant.

21:19: Control is advising that township police have spoken with or are with the homeowner and they state there should be no one else in the home.

21:24: Brush 3 en route.

21:30: Command is requesting second alarm activation for manpower. Control is advising West Penn Power was unable to complete a remote disconnect and gave a 1 hour ETA for a crew arrival.

21:32: Second alarm is activated. Stations 13, 14, 20, 11, 12, and Ladder 1 are added to the call. There was a report from the basement crew about partial structure collapse, however the audio was walked over.

21:36: Station 20 second alert followed by their acknowledgment.

21:37: Engine 13 is en route. Tower 1 is approaching and instructed to stage and send their manpower into the scene.

21:39: Engine 12 en route.

21:40: Engine 20 en route. Another source is indicating there are 2 houses involved at this time, including 107 Westview Drive.

21:42: Control is advising Command they are now 30 minutes into the incident; all 2nd alarm companies have units en route, and West Penn Power reported remote disconnect was successful.

21:45: Utility 14 is on scene.

21:46: Engine 13 is on scene.

21:47: A unit is being sent to the VA for standby at this time; possibly Tanker or Engine 20.

21:48: Engine 12 and Rescue 11 are on scene.

21:49: Rescue 12 is en route.

21:52: Control is advising Command they are 40 minutes into the incident.

22:01: Operations is advising Command there is fire in the basement again; it is unclear in which residence.

22:04: Command is advised the power company is on scene now.

22:12: 1 hour timestamp.

22:16: A large opening is being made on the 2nd division of one of the structures from the ladder.

22:21: Command is advised by Operations of additional fire on one of the sides of one of the structures.

22:33: Tower 1 is advising Station 1 they are still conducting roof operations and will be there awhile.

22:35: Command is advising Control they still have active fire at this time. 80 minute timestamp was given but Command is stating no further need for timestamps.

23:07: Tower 1 is reporting the attic is clear and Command states they can begin to break down.

23:32: Tower 1 is clear, back in service.

23:43: Engine 3 is instructed to bring 100 feet of line back into the basement.

23:51: Utility 14 is reporting all Station 14 units are back in service. Sources are now indicating only 1 house was involved.

23:55: Engine 13 is back in service.

00:04: Engine 12 is back in service.

00:12: Command terminated, all units back in service.

00:14: Butler Ambulance is transporting 1 firefighter to BMH.

00:19: Fire Police are now reporting clear of Acre Avenue.
