07:23: Stations 21, 22, and 51 alerted for a multiple-vehicle MVA with injury at the 79.4 mile marker of I-79 southbound, near the Rowan Road bridge. A Station 21 unit is en route with a crew of six but was cut off. 51-1 is en route with an extended ETA, requesting Squad 98 be added to the call.

07:28: 51-1 reporting to incoming Cranberry Township fire units this is south bound, there is a dump truck involved, possibly 4 vehicles.

The Cranberry EMS unit is passing the scene to turn around, reporting possibly 4 vehicles involved and a dump truck.

07:30: Station 21 units approaching. The crash is reportedly in the median.

07:32: 51-1 is first on scene investigating.

07:33: Rescue 21 on scene with I-79 Command. Squad 98 on scene.

07:36: Rescue 22 responding.

07:37: I-79 Command canceled Station 22, Rescue 22 is back in service.

07:46: There have been no other updates from this incident until now; 51-1 is transporting to Allegheny General Hospital.

07:59: Squad 98 is clear of the interstate with 2 patient refusals. Rescue 21 is back in service, Fire Police will remain on scene until released by PD.
