12:32: Rescue 15 checking for any update, Control states they have received several calls on it.
12:35: Rescue 15 on scene, investigating. 45-1 also on scene.
12:38: 45-1 requesting nearest air evac to Station 15.
12:41: Control states Stat MedEvac 2 will be inbound with a 19 minute ETA.
12:45: Fire Police stating to hold all traffic, the ambulance is leaving. 45-1 reporting they’re transporting to the LZ. Control reports Stat had another unit free up and Stat 8 is now inbound with a 12 minute ETA.
12:46: Station 15 reports the LZ is setup now.
12:47: Stat MedEvac out of Grove City Airport was returning to UPMC Cranberry and was nearly on the ground when they diverted to this call.
12:51: The helicopter is passing over Route 8 near the 228 E / Saxonburg Boulevard intersection now, taking the LZ brief and reporting 3 minutes out.
12:52: 45-1 reporting out at the landing zone.
12:54: The LZ reports they have the helicopter in sight. The helicopter is turning around east of Saxonburg Fire Station and coming in from the south.
12:56: LZ 15 reporting Stat MedEvac is on the ground.
13:05: The helicopter is still on the ground; no other updates from the scene or from the LZ. Traffic control continues.
13:11: The helicopter is now airborne from Station 15. LZ 15 reporting clear.
13:19: 45-1 reporting back in service.
13:22: Stat MedEvac is arriving at the helipad, UPMC Presbyterian, Pittsburgh. Heavy air medical traffic over the Pittsburgh area currently. At least 4 Stat MedEvac helicopters airborne, 1 LifeFlight, and an unidentified helicopter that departed UPMC Presbyterian seconds before the helicopter from this incident landed.
13:25: Traffic control at this scene is still ongoing.
13:31: Station 15 units report they have been released by PSP and are back in service. Unclear if the roadway is reopened yet.
