14:30: Duty Chief 29 requesting two additional ambulances, possibly Station 55 or Sugarcreek EMS.
14:31: 56-1 on scene.
14:32: 56-1 requesting two additional ALS units. Control states Sugarcreek is unavailable and Emlenton is out on another call. 1670 is requested and nearest air evac is requested to standby. Engine 29-2 en route.
14:33: Duty Chief 29 requesting 28 be dispatched to standby for an LZ and for traffic control to shut down the roadway.
14:35: Control was having difficulty copying orders from the Duty Chief; now stating East Brady and Southern Clarion are both out of service. The 56 medic is requesting the helicopter be put in the air.
14:36: Stations 44 and 99 activated. Control now reporting 1 male is unconscious, a total of 3 injuries. 44-1 en route.
14:38: Station 28 added to the call for the LZ at a social hall and for traffic control.
14:41: Command checking on responding units for the LZ and the status of the helicopter; Control states LifeFlight 2 gave a 13 minute ETA, Petrolia has been dispatched but hasn’t acknowledged. Chief 28-3 states the LZ will need to be at the Karns City High School due to an issue at the social hall (audio isn’t clear).
14:42: Control is telling Command 44-1 is en route, Station 99 declined.
14:50: 56-1 en route to the LZ at Karns City High School.
14:52: Route 268 is now closed in Petrolia Borough.
15:02: Command states 1 patient being flown, 1 will be ground transport, the other will most likely be a refusal.
15:06: LifeFlight is on the ground at the LZ.
15:08: Duty Chief 29 requesting a 2nd helicopter to the LZ. MedEvac 6 has a 14 minute ETA.
15:19: 44 unit is en route to the LZ.
15:22: Stat 6 taking the LZ brief.
15:24: 44 unit is at the LZ.
15:27: Stat 6 is reported on the ground.
15:30: LifeFlight is reported airborne to AGH.
15:40: Stat is airborne to AGH, and all Station 28 units are clear of the LZ. Squad 28 still out at the road closure.
15:57: Units are beginning to return in service now.
16:09: Command instructing traffic control units to reopen 268 at this time. Incident terminated; all units back in service.
