20:36: 45-1 en route. Address updated to 234 Spiker Road (was 235); patient has difficulty breathing after something exploded (broken audio), strong smell in the residence.
20:46: Engine 10 on scene.
20:47: Saxonburg Ambulance states they are a couple minutes out; Chief 10 on scene stating the male is outside, he does have some chlorine on him currently.
20:49: 45-1 on scene.
20:53: Chief 10 instructing units to proceed into the scene; he needs masked men and fans for ventilation.
20:54: Nearest helicopter requested inbound to the scene. Fire chief states they can probably land right there; he can get coordinates if needed.
20:57: Stat MedEvac 3 is already airborne, 5-6 minute ETA to the scene. Chief 10 states they are needed into the scene, not on standby. It appears they were returning to their home base at UPMC Cranberry from Pittsburgh when this call went out.
21:04: The ground contact at the Landing Zone has visual on the helicopter.
21:06: Stat 3 is on the ground at the scene.
21:09: Spiker Road Command is requesting the Butler County HazMat Team 100 respond to this location.
21:10: HazMat Team 100 alerted.
21:11: Control checking with Command if PSP is needed at the scene as they were originally alerted; Command states they are not needed.
21:14: Chief 10 asking Control to notify Team 100 they have “heavy contaminate” of chlorine in the basement.
21:15: Second alert for Team 100 due to no acknowledgement.
21:17: Stat 3 is in the air to Mercy.
21:32: Stat is arriving at the UPMC Mercy helipad in Pittsburgh.
21:33: Squad 100 and Truck 100 en route.
