03:36: Station 64 (Portersville – Muddy Creek EMS) alerted to standby in the area of 217 Kelly Road, Muddy Creek Township. PSP is responding to a report of a male down along the roadway.
03:39: No response from Station 64; second alert.
03:42: Butler Ambulance Station 99 alerted to cover the call.
03:43: 99-5 is responding from BMH.
03:47: PSP is on scene with a male, GSW to head, unresponsive; the ambulance is requested into the scene. 99-5 requests Fire Department for QRS and possible landing zone, helicopter requested on standby.
03:48: Portersville – Muddy Creek Fire Department toned out.
03:52 Stat 8, 12 minute ETA, on standby.
03:54: Station 24 instructed by 99-5 to setup an LZ.
03:55: LZ given to Stat was Portersville Christian School. Station 24 re-alerted for additional manpower and a driver.
03:57: 99-5 now saying the LZ can be behind Station 24.
04:01: 99-5 checking for any update from PSP via Control; no update available except the ambulance is requested into the scene immediately.
04:03: 99-5 on scene with PSP.
04:04: 99-5 canceling all incoming units. Helicopter is released from standby, LZ will not be needed.
04:28: 99-5 back in service.
04:44: Station 24 alerted by request of PSP to close Kelly Road on both ends. 488 on the North end and Yellow Creek Road on the South side.
05:01: Brush 24 is the only unit able to respond from Station 24 currently. County Fire Police are requested.
05:07: Brush 24 is on scene at 488 and Kelly, still requesting Fire Police.
05:08: County Fire Police toned out to close Kelly Road at Yellow Creek Road.
05:17: Second alert for County Fire Police.
05:21: County Control states no response from any fire police, zone or countywide. Brush 24 requesting Station 13 be alerted; Prospect Station 13 toned out.
05:23: Lieutenant 13 acknowledging the call.
05:24: Chief 13-2 en route to station.
05:36: Station 13 will be placing a Road Closed sign at Yellow Creek and a member of the road crew will be to 488 to do the same.
05:56: Chief 13-2 reporting Brush 13 is back in service.
07:01: Brush 24 reporting the township road department has placed the road closed signs and Station 24 units are back in service.
Per Butler Radio, the county coroner has confirmed the gunshot wound was fatal. They attempted to reach Pennsylvania State Police also but have not received additional information.
