Caller noticed a guardrail damaged around 06:30 this morning and when returning past here a bit ago, noticed a car, and there is a person inside.
08:25: Stations 16, 15, and 76 alerted.
08:27: Station 42 Rescue and Squad 98 requested.
08:28: Squad 98 en route.
08:31: 76-3 is advised by Control Police are putting a helicopter on standby.
08:33 Rescue 42, Rescue 15 en route.
08:34: Police report a convertible with 1 person unresponsive. Chief 16 arriving confirming the vehicle is over the embankment.
08:35: Chief 16 requesting Chief 15 send their engine next for a possible LZ. 76-3 on scene.
08:37: Rescue 16 en route. Helicopter requested in the air by Chief 16, per the Saxonburg Ambulance unit. No LZ was given yet.
08:38: Control still looking for LZ information from Command because it wasn’t given (Command obviously seems busy but this particular dispatcher is very often short with units on emergency scenes). Command is now stating the Landing Zone will be at Langer’s Field on 228 East, also informing incoming units there is NO ENTRAPMENT but patient needs extricated up the hillside.
08:42: Rescue 16 on location.
08:46: LifeFlight 4 is airborne from Butler Airport.
08:52: LifeFlight 4 is searching for the LZ. It appears they turned and went part way down 228W toward Cranberry; the LZ is on 228E, east of Route 8, toward Saxonburg.
08:53: Ambulance is at the LZ.
08:57: Helicopter is on the ground at the LZ.
09:01: New witness has apparently told Command this happened at 03:00 this morning (3:00 AM).
09:25: LifeFlight 4 is airborne.
09:36: LF4 arrived at the Allegheny General Hospital helipad.
09:39: All Station 16 units are back in service, Station 15 Fire Police are still on scene with PD.
10:01: Fire Police Captain 15 reporting Fire Police units have been relieved of traffic control by local PD.
